Electric: $40

We're an all electric Energy Star house, and even in mid summer we don't go over $250. 1976 square feet, ranch, foam insulation and air exchange system.

Of course, that's keeping the house at 73 for the wife. If it was just me it'd be at 69.

 

My house was built in 1993 and while everything inside is energy star the house isn't all efficient like new builds. I think moving the thermostat downstairs will be what helps us a lot. It's upstairs near my office and the guest room and I can set it at 85 and it runs all day during the summer. I'll come home and downstairs will be cold but it's still running because upstairs is so warm.

I also am saving to replace the AC unit with a larger more efficient unit and to add more insulation in the attic.

 

I was just asked if I had taken too many dick pills this morning. I'm guessing I'm being a dick, not sure though.
