I would take that info from him with a grain of salt. He does not run one, did not build his own, and apparently was never able to compare two trucks with the same leaf packs side by side where one had shackle flip, and one had stock shackle. There are so many flat out wrong statements in that post that my blood pressure goes way off the chart.

Hopefully lol front is definitely sealed up great, rear where the wires come in is sealed too. I honestly think my extended cab window seals are my current issue. I'll deal with that eventually, too much other crap I'm working on at the same time lol.

I just unsubbed from your build a while ago. That has kept my BP at safe levels. You unfortunately are not a big enough blip on my radar to ignore.

 

I'd have to read it again and think about it again, but comparing two trucks is the obvious and easy way, for someone without more than average education in engineering or auto related, to see how the shackle flip affects the leaf packs. I'm not sure what your knowledge is or your background, but pretty sure JBerry has some engineering background, which I am learning now, and it is not difficult to analyze, and see, the most likely outcome of a shackle flip and how the rear suspension works with either option, without comparing two trucks in person.

Do your own research, and come to your own conclusions. I am just a dumb carpenter with a HS Diploma. I do not have the education to do the math required to figure this shit out. I use common sense and real world observations. And I did an experiment.

And I built and maintain my own truck.
