Add fuel while running?

Ive been doing it for 10 years on and off .. i dont see anything wrong with it ... they say you are not suppose to get car in you car/truck either but everyone does it

There is more chance creating an ignition of fuel vapors from starting a vehicle than leaving it run.

Shutting the vehicle down during fuel ups is a fuel saving tactic promoted by the EPA, not a safety tactic.

Yes you can fuel up while Running, And while you're at it talk on you're cell phone and light you're self a Cigarette no problem....

I'm typically only in Jersey to go to pine barrens or island beach park so maybe it's a pine barrens thing. I don't do the weekly grocery, gas, and alcohol run to NJ like the rest of the philly hipsters. So, I shouldn't generalize.

 

I remember smoking a cigarette while pumping gas in high school. there'd be about 2 or 3 other people smoking too. The garage owner would be smoking a cigarette while he came out to say hi and ask how my parents were doing. It's amazing shit we did back in the days that didn't result in catastrophe out of pure dumb luck.

I beg to differ. When I hit a box going 70 on the freeway my fuel line eventually tore, unknown to my knowledge.

Fast forward couple days later in the chick fil a drive thru I could smell gas and saw smoke/vapors fuming through the fender. I immediately ditched my order, parked, and shut it off to have it towed home. Had it kept running I'm sure my engine bay would've been lit up like a kwanza night.

True story.

 

It may be a cliche, or over used but that question was stupid. But to answere it... No you will not get a light, it takes multibule key cycles to make the vapor recycling system to through a code.
