finally finished my truck. My friend started base coat but wife called him home couse she was pregnant and didn't feel well so I had to do rest. I mixed my own color( tried at least 20 different mixes on speed shapes before I was happy with the color. I am very happy how color actually came out. My first time doing it so it didn't come out as good as if somebody did it and knew how to do it properly. Finish is satin. For clear finish u need different dip and equipment
I blackhouse headlights at same time and put halo on projector shroudIMG_4256.jpgIMG_4255.jpgIMG_4254.jpgIMG_4259.jpgIMG_4260.jpgIMG_4135.jpg

    That color suits that truck!
Nice choice!! I'm big fan of plastidip.
What kind of sprayer/gun did you use?
When i did wifes civic..I used the dipyourcar "spraystation" (cheap hvlp)
I was able to spray base coat (mighnight abyss) and clear coat called topcoat out of same equipment. The topcoat changed it from a rubbery feel to a smoother harder finish. She chose the high gloss version but they had matte ect..
we also use some Dipcoat (alot like quick wax) every few washes to keep the finish smooth.

The car I did lasted few years before starting to fade. If you can catch it soon enough you could re-clear to get few more years out of it.
O.p will have a better idea on cost for truck
    I did wifes civic coupe.:spy:

I'm curious how long the door handles and well will last. Most of the cars I see always have scratches in that general area.

Used dyc turbine which died at the end. Luckly i went to harbor freight and got their cheap spray gun and got regulator. Picked up compressor from work and finished truck that way. Should have done it from beginning. So much better atomization

Not sure how much prifesional would charge. I ended up putting 7 galons of raail(type of plastidip) on the truck(2 galons of base. 2 of color mixed satin clear and 3 clear satin coats. Each galon is $66. Pigments are 10-14$ per 25grams. I used about 60grams or so(4 different pigments mixed together)

We will see. Usualy people can put clear bra on back of door handles so it doesnt peel couse u cant realy pain back of them. 99% of time i open door for my gf im not worring of her scratching that area or opening into something.

No clear coat on this. Will be satin finish

Id say 20 hours or so. Taping toom a lot and all the prep and sprayed over 3 days couse of weather

Best derp job i've ever seen on a Tacoma. I remember seeing one where i'm 99% sure they used the spray can plastidip because it looked so uneven.
