Neon SRT4. Thing ran like a beast

on the topic of F1, the tech and development F1, endurance races (24 hrs of Le Mans) and MotoGP bring to the table are= not spoken about much. There are constantly restrictions that push engineers to work around. The developments that come from that are in the cars on the road today. F1 and MotoGP limit the amount of engines you can run. Imagine that, running an engine 800cc to 1600 cc at 15k RPMS as hard as you can for a race, and youve got to use that engine again next week.

point being, it was a bad reference.

On the topic of HP wars, didnt Porsche admit its silly and it needs to stop? My bmw had 400 HP and it was a handful, I cant imagine 800 HP or even 600 in a street driven car.

Yes, but only includes these parts and a new entrant can have 5.

The power unit is deemed to consist of six separate elements: the internal combustion engine (ICE), the motor generator unit-kinetic (MGU-K), the motor generator unit-heat (MGU-H), the energy store (ES), turbocharger (TC) and control electronics (CE).

Not anymore, the Demon is considered faster on the track. Of course there are some track differences, more traction than asphalt.

    Yes I know all that

They are also getting 950hp out of a 1.6L V6 turbo hybrid using 30% less fuel than the naturally aspirated V8's they replaced and hitting 50% thermal effeciency while breaking lap records that were set in the V10 era

its truely astonishing. Look at all the vehicles going to smaller turbo engines. who would think bmw and mercedes would be pushing turbo 4s? even ferrari pushing turbo 6s.

GP bikes are pushing 240 hp on 800cc engines. 600s today pushing 130+ where 10+ years ago youre around 90-110. MotoGP has been lowering the amount of fuel they can use too, increasing efficiency developments.

The Challenger is on a pretty damn nice chassis. It may be hand me down Merc parts, but it is far better as a driver than the other two that are somewhat in its class.

I give big props to Dodge/ Fiat for what they've done in giving the customer what they want. Look what Toyota did with the 3.5 Tacoma, pretty much shit in our cereal. Dodge put 100,000 mile warranty (extended) on a 700hp death machine that you can take the kids to bally in, or front and rear selectable lockers in a 3/4 ton.

My family has owned everything, and has had good and bad with all.

Yet you own a '16 Taco. If your truck is shit, I would suggest you trade it in on a Jeep Trailhawk that can do 0-60 under 3 seconds and come back in 3 years and tell us how much of a quality product it is.

Trade your Taco in while it still has good value.

I could say that for every vehicle I've owned, but I'm pretty happy with what I have. Sure, things could be better, like the shifting, but it's a matter of getting use to the way it reacts. Changes my driving style, something I've had to get use to every vehicle I've ever owned that acts a little differently. Might get flamed for that, but it's true.

Years ago I was on a group ride (sportbikes) when a guy pulled up on a fairly new Triumph Daytona (or something similar, can't recall). High gas tank, very low clip ons, etc. - as race oriented as it gets (and we were all on similar supersports). One guy commented on how uncomfortable that bike must be. The owner replied that it was just fine, "after the bike breaks you in." :)

Chiron, La Ferrari, P1, 918 come to mind of cars that are currently in production. I think it's the most powerful production V8 though
