DETROIT—Toyota Motor Corp. is offering an "aggressive" incentive program for March to try to lure buyers back to its U.S. showrooms as the auto maker tries to recover from an image crisis over safety recalls.

In an email to dealers in the Chicago region, a Toyota representative described the program as "the most aggressive incentive program in our history," but acknowledged that the cash offers would be reduced in favor of low-rate financing.

The Japanese auto maker is offering free financing for five years on eight 2010 model-year vehicles, cash back of between $500 to $3,000 on nine models and a two-year free maintenance offer for returning customers, according to a document provided to a dealer. The offers could vary depending on the region of the U.S.

I've been searching for them and haven't found anything substantial save for a report from the wall street journal an hour ago...

Just bought mine about a month ago, like the same week that Toyota postponed sales of all "affected" models. Kinda funny... they let me test drive the Tundra, but told me they couldn't sell it. Didn't bother me one bit and wasn't really a consideration in my purchase. I got a letter last week with a modified finance contract from Toyota Finance. For no apparent reason and not at my request, they reduced my APR by 1.5%. I don't know if it was a "thanks" or an error, but I was pleased.

and in my neck of the woods (KY) they didn't budge at all. They even removed the nominal $500 cash back incentive. 0% apr on almost everything but the tacoma but it seems Indiana kept it and GA has received the 0% apr.

MS had the 0% apr in february on the Tacomas...I got mine with 0% for 3 years. Other options I think were 3.9% for 4 or 5 years. I thought for sure this would be continued into March with the way things have gone with Toyota the last couple months.

buyatoyota.com lists the offers - no FJs, Tacos, or 4runner offers in my area.

I tested different areas they have different vehicle offers.
