I want to believe this is a joke, but I know it's not...
I wonder if they put it on when I got the TRD wheels installed?

What a joke. Some lawyer is behind that one.

My wife's Prius even has that sticker. Companies have to protect themselves at all times....from every person....from every conceivable angle.

Yes, it's a way to state it won't perform to the exact weights stated in the manual. My Tundra had that sticker too, but two lbs

The world is fucked. Something in the law needs to change. The USA is worse than Canada, but it's still bad.

Just following the law. The law is to protect us (they think it's easier if we believe that). FMVSS rules gone crazy tho for 2kg but where to draw the line??? There's a bunch of crap that seems overdone. You really get into it when vehicles get heavier and the taxing rate starts changing.

So something's been added (sometimes deleted, post manufacture).

I have a scale in my truck and weigh myself and everything I put in it. A shopping trip to Lowes takes me all day. Can you believe that people get mad at me when I weigh them b4 I let them get into my truck?

Companies (auto manufactures & others) employ groups of people working GVW & GVW...so cost. In addition, tax rates shift significantly as weights increase.

Some is understandable if you follow heavy = harder on roads but generally heavy also = < MPG which already drives fuel tax cost higher.

Let alone cost associated with violations & errors.

The domestics really get it with special order where customers want increased or decreased GVW capability. More commercial size & larger products but, still applies & drives cost.

I think nailing down to such low numbers is a joke.

Lift it up over 6 inches, fat chicks don't like getting in tall trucks. You should be fine.
