Debadged and took off the TRD Sport sticker the first week I had it. I debadge all my vehicles. Clean look and easier to wash and dry.

I picked up some Goo Gone last evening. Just haven't had a chance to do this yet. I prefer when I have enough time to do everything at one time and just didn't have the time last night. How well did the TRD sticker come off and what did you use?

For the sticker, use a blower dryer to "warm it up" a bit, because of the glue, to make it easier to take off. Don't use a heat gun, I think that would generate too much heat and could damage the paint. But the same can be said about the blow dryer, so just be careful.

Just debadged the V6 and SR5 badges off the tailgate. But now i'm left with scratches. Anyone know an effective way of fixing that?

Gotcha. Point noted. Yeah, the heat gun can get extremely hot even on low setting. I can use a blow dryer instead. Thanks for the info. I have to admit, when I detail my truck, my pet peeve is cleaning around those damn emblems.

Same thing happened to me, and it was suggested I try meguiars scratch x 2.0, which I did and seemed to work well.

Won't have to worry about that if it's debadged! :D

Took all the badges off, personally I think the looked tacky, why have a V6 badge lol? This small tacoma badge is clean and looks nice.

I had some time tonight after work. Ran extension cord from the house to a blow dryer for about 60 seconds on each emblem. Then some strong fishing line I have to slide behind each badge. Finally lots of Goo Gone and finger nails to remove 99% of the adhesive. I love not having chrome letters on the side of my truck and the tailgate. I'm not quite sure about the TRD stickers yet. I may open this photo in Adobe Photoshop to remove that sticker and see what it looks like.

For the sticker I just went out on a warm day and picked a corner up and just slowly peeled it off. Came off in one piece. Maybe because the truck was so new it was easy. Used Goo-gone for the residue.

Removed the TRD Off-Road sticker from the bed of the truck in Photoshop. I like it. That sticker is gonna have to go.

Just debadged this morning using a heat gun and a pair of needle nose pliers. I prefer the smaller "Toyota" badge to the big, silver "Tacoma" one.
