I have only ever seen water in cans for use with flammable metals dust and rags etc, I presume one of our local haz mat / fire guys that hang around here will chime in. Just a tight lid metal can will work for most applications. I personally warn against a galvanized can as if heated hot enough the galvanizing can actually start to smoke and the smoke can make you extremely sick or dead . Note if you do inhale smoke yellow green looking from galvanized metal burning, welding , cutting drink some milk it will counter act it just try not to breathe that much of it . A fire pit and a match if it is questionable chemicals is the safest thing beware the smoke may not be good for you. A lot of things we use are exothermic epoxy, glues, sealants etc so read the label.

I'm using mineral spirits right now. Odorless. But have been tossing everything in trash / fire pile.

Clear coat not as stinky. Hardest part is standing sideways on step ladder twisted. I see a jacuzzi soak later.
And I'm not halfway thru top cabinets yet.

In my city there is a dept called code enforcement. Don't like the non-op car in your neighbors drive? Call and report it. 30 days to comply then $100/day fine. No overnight parking on the street, no parking on the grass. If your paint is chipping on the house trim, stucco cracking/chipping same thing. This is not an HOA, regular neighborhood.
The rules of living within the city limits. Welcome to Orange County, So Cal. A city near me has a motto "The land of gracious living" HARDLY!. Let it begin:crapstorm:

I thought this would complete the job, so you are 1/2 way? What's an appropriate response? IDK, how 'bout "Think of the $ you have saved". There did that help? JK. LOL

I hadn't made up my mind at the time I got cabinets on how to finish them. So for other side I'm at least staining them before installation.
That's the sink side. Lots more going on that side.

    Friday Friday Friday .
I also have a metal can I burn stuff in.
My friends brother built a brand new house and almost lost it two months after completion due to rags In a can. It just smoldered and he smelled it in time.
Some safety stuff is over the top but chemical stuff. I really pay attention.
