    Add some washers to the cables, orient the hoseclamp so you have to use a socket with an extension from underneath and jb weld the screw driver slot on it. It makes it such a pain in the ass to get off you won't even want to do it with proper tools and time. $2

    I saw 2 Tacos on my morning commute with stolen tailgates a couple weeks ago, a 3rd gen quicksand and a blue second gen

    Haven't seen the quicksand but the poor second gen is still parking in the are minus the tailgate

    You'd think the scum would learn to disconnect the pin connector instead of just yanking

    someone needs to do some Taco tailgate bait car crackdowns in socal with gps trackers

    This thread is the only reason I leave my tailgate locked. Sorry to hear about this. Fortunately it must not be as bad in North Carolina. Still not going to chance it.

    First thing I did when I got my taco was lock my tailgate, after asking my sales rep if the truck had a key for the tailgate, he told me that they all come with one inside the glove compartment.
