When beer thirty starts at lunch, it's going to be an early day. :drunk:

It's not worth taking a picture of... But it was free as usual.

So after careful consideration, of time, distance, traffic and the fact I might miss beers and bikes with Brenda, the answer is still...
    nope. :burp:

After you mentioned it, i recall the passenger side spitting some grease out under the clamp a while ago (boot wasn't torn). Doubt it was all of it and it doesn't make noise otherwise... But it might be a place to start.

Someone said that the CVs are interchangeable so it wouldn't matter, but oriellys said they are different part numbers. :notsure:

Anyone know if the CV assemblies on a second gen are interchangeable? I've got a few yesses on here, oriellys says no.

Could knock out two more potential issues with one try if so.

And you trust the guy at orielys?

They're identical, although I would highly recommend sticking with OEM for CVs.

x2. I purchased a MasterPro last year only for the purpose of trail spare. I've since picked up some OEMs.

I got an OEM CV from Yota Jim for like $40 or $50. Don't know how much we wants for a 2nd gen one.

Pick up two and take them to CVJ, get remans with high angle boots, and have two trail spares. Probably still be cheaper than one new one from the dealer.

$504 for a new cv axle per mountain states.

I'll trade the truck in far before i go that route.

I figured the local places will have it in stock and then i can test both sides to eliminate them as the problem... And if it fixes it, I'll know what it is and get something better.

Yeah I'm just trying my best to figure out my OEM rumble strip modification at this point. $65 is a fine amount to figure out if either of the CVs are the issue.
