I'll mess with it and see what I can do. It will have to move out quite a ways, and inboard to clear the shock. Just barely enough width between the ubolt plates that bracket to fit the shock.

TC. Better uniball angles and don't have to mess with silly proprietary hardware.

All that other crap, and ball joints with a different name, and covers are a gimmick IMO.

I wanted to go with Camburg but I have read negative things about them not aligning properly/fixing caster camber issues but I guess everyone has something to say about everything.. I think I will just go with TC..

Brett how much flex do you have in the hose. Is there anyway you can mount the resi at an angle on the inner part of the frame so the hose is pointed down.

I'm babbling more unsubstantiated opinions. My uniballs are perfectly flat at ride height, seems like this isn't the case for the others. I am also nowhere close to maxing out the uniball travel within my shock travel. I've seen others who's uniball cups are hitting the misalignment spacers at full droop.

Don't think so. Hose can't go any higher cause it would hit the bed, and the resi would end up below the frame.

First thought is to weld some tubing at a 45 degree angle to the frame and rear crossmember and mount them to those.

Perfectly ok in your own build thread. Just can't take it out to the 'floor of the house'.

Well considering ads apparently doesn't make extended travel coil over unless special requested...no wonder your not using all your travel haha :p

Can't remember where that came up though..maybe it was cody.. @Bennett707

And you don't run as much lift as some...so...yeah haha :luvya:

Do you have Icon UCAs? :p

I'll continue to babble unsubstantiated opinions.

Who's opinions do you care to value? I'm not concerned with the majority rule on the 'floor of the house'. They've steered me wrong too many times.

I gained like 3/4" of droop with the coilovers, any more and the CVs will bind. Extended travel enough. At least I'm not using my uniball through bolt as a limit strap.

Haha... Touche` No, I drank the camburg koolaid.

Were there marks/indentations on the through bolts or the uniball cups on these mystery icons?

No more taco life for me
So I talked to someone recently that got them and they said they do them now. Idk. I talked to ads directly and they indicated they build them to what others Call extended. It was impossible to get travel measurements. I insisted on them maximizing travel and he said he would. Whether it actually happened or is any different...

I don't think you understood what I said. But the 45* will be better. It will help as a gusset and hold your resi. Also keep the hose free and not binding by the curves I was thinking about. So if you have a good spot for that 45 then that will be your best bet. But you already know this. Going back into the shadows. Carry on.

If you want to change the resi hoses, I can do that for you. So if you want to find a temp solution like attaching to the body or on your cross tube in the center for now, we can change where and how they mount later.

I figure with a couple 90°s we can get the resis to mount on the outside of the frame so I can show off my Kings.

    :D

If I can't find a permanent solution I like, I'll come visit you. Thinking the 45° piece of tubing and resi mounting will work, and Ray's right, another gusset can't hurt. Don't think I can get them on the shock crossmember. Bottom of the bed would work if I completely run out of options.

But the laminar flow will be shit with 13 90's to get the resi in the tire rub zone!!!! BUt I can get it done!!!

Mine are in the center on the tube I mounted my shocks to directly under the bed. I do have 90's at the shock body with swivels that helps with hose routing. I also had to dent the bed up to clear the 90 and the top if the shock.

Enough to make it a lot of fun!
That's not denting, that is custom fabrication with a hammer

I'm digging the last 5 pages of this thread.

So ummmm, how are we looking? Will this beast be trail ready by 4/24?

13 90°s? Isn't that the same as turning your clickers up?

Still hoping to be rolling this weekend. Depends on if anything else decides to give me trouble. Will still have some finishing touches like mounting stuff back to the swingout that probably won't get done right away though.
