I went with 50mil GTMat and also spayed seams with undercoat. Did inside doors and also the holes on the inner door also. Next was RAMMAudio foam

Next i insulated the open spots behind door panel.

Noticed a 3 decible drop from phone app. Same road same speed. All I've done is the 2 front doors.20170202_160000.jpg 20170202_160004.jpg 20170203_172751.jpg 20170303_124821.jpg 20170204_172900.jpg

So I blew a CV boot today... kinda... A clamp is missing. The boot doesn't seem to be damaged. Anyone think I can get away with just re-clamping it?

It has lost some grease, Do I need to figure out how to add some before clamping it?

A little, but I have yet to drive with it in there yet. There are also currently many other smells like seam sealer and paint so hard to tell yet.

This is what I did. Put CV grease in a grease gun cartridge and used a needle adapter.

So yesterday I noticed cracks in the windshield. About 6 inches passenger side of center, large and spreading.
I called a place I had used for tint before and got a great quote, under 150.

So I took care of it and also had them tint the front windows.

I was shocked at the low price of the replacement glass. I asked him why it was so inexpensive, and he said
    1) They are a glass supplier. All day while waiting I saw no less then a half dozen pickups/work trucks for auto glass places outside.
    2) Its a common windshield. Since it is for our Tacos and 4Runners.

    Wow. Who doesnt like this!

So leave the tape on for a day, dont wash for a few days, and dont open the windows for 4 days.

    windshield & tint.jpg

Bottom missing, so 185.07, 6.81 tax, 191.88 total.

Oh, and I called Farmers, their glass coverage
    1) costs about 150 a year to cover my 3 vehicles
    2) still has a 100 deductable
    So, totally not worth it.

Did one of your shield cost more than the other? My dealer and I were dumb founded as to why one shield cost $25 more than the other.

Scary thing is this was just driving on the road before it went on the lift. I guess it was a good thing that it broke like it did, imagine if it did that while you were driving it.

Nope, both ran about $40 a piece I believe. Also @Blackdawg I think since you had yours done at Toyota they were able to source a new C clip from stock, but my machine shop needed me to grab them too since the original gets bent basically inside out when the shits getting pressed out. Was kind of PITA needing to run to Toyota to get it but it also cost me $70 less going through the machine shop. Still spendy though lol
