Like magic. This time last year my right eustacian tube was closed and it was all I could do to not scratch my eyes out. I was on three meds, eye drops, and a prescription nasal spray. Started shots last August, and now I just take one puff of Nasacort nightly just to keep the sinus open with the CPAP.

No itching, no plugged up ears, no post-nasal drip, no watery eyes, no nothing.

Sooooo worth it, and the needles are so tiny you'll barely feel them (not like getting a Yellow Fever or Anthrax shot).

Do you know what the med is called?

    I don't mind needles.

It's 100% custom. The first thing you do is fill out 30 minutes worth of paperwork, talk to the doc for 5 minutes, then they run a pen allergy panel on your back. Looks kind of like this (varies by doctor):
    IMG_1059.jpg

Once they know what specific pollens/molds/grasses/weeds you're allergic to and to what degree, they formulate the cocktail special just for you. Depending on what it is and how you react to it, you go weekly (or more) for two or three months, then bi-weekly, then monthly, then occasional follow-ups.

I'm on monthly now schedule now, so April is covered. I don't get my next one until May.

Oak and mold have been bad this year, and these shots have saved me. I cannot recommend going through the process strongly enough.

Or, as Chad would say...DOOOOOOO EEEEEEEEEEEET!

@because_minitruck apparently the license plates come from a local shop that works on repairs and such. These are from totals, I guess.

We decorated with them and I made sure that the Texas one was included.

You need the Texas plate from the generation or two before that one.

Those would look great... but this is all I got. There are like 20 different plates here. These were my faves...

I did that allergy immunotherapy for a few years. It worked pretty good.

I had that done when I was a kid, and got shots for like 15 years. Ugh, guess I need to do it again.

Yep. Still worth doing if you're allergic to everything around you.

We tried the raw local honey thing too, but it wasn't nearly as effective and medical magic.

I got the ole girl clean and spiffy for the first time this year (I've been lazy).

During this time I noticed even more scratches! Most of them I cannot account for, damn black paint!

I'm the guy that could probably lick all of the pollen off my truck and be A-OK. Never bothered me a lick. :rimshot:

I had this done when I was younger. I was allergic to 38 out of the 48 they tested me for.
