    OK, help me out here.

I've got a 2006 regular cab 5-speed 4-banger Tacoma. No bells and whistles, just a truck. (See Fuelly sig or profile pics for reference)

Anyhow, the front end of the truck is formed and cut for fog lights (on other, more expensive models apparently), but the holes are simply capped over. Odd, but whatever.

I've been searching off and on for a *month*. I cannot find information on where to either pick up a set of reflectors & bulbs that aren't $300+, or flat-out don't exist! I've searched here and on other sites...they either skip over it completely or assume you already had stock lights installed and are swapping out factory replacements.

There ain't no way I'm laying down 300+ dollars for some reflectors and bulbs when I'll still have to wire them in myself. Since I'm already putting two other light kits on the truck next week (weather permitting, of course...bed lights and auxiliary / backup lights) and I'd like to stick a third switch in the dash while I've got it apart and wire up some new fog lights.

So I come to thee, Tacoma Gods, as the clueless n00b who prostrates himself before your combined wisdom.

Can I simply wire in a lead to power, mount a switch on the dash, and fab up something in the garage to hold a couple of halogen bulbs in a round hole? Am I searching like a yutz and missing some really obvious walkthroughs already there? Can I go to _store ABC_ and pick up _doohickey DEF_ for _sillycheappriceGHI_ and bolt them in place? Or am I asking for the impossible, like winning the lotto and having Hendricks and Alba waiting at my bedside tonight with matching $100 million dollar checks?

Camper top with racks, Custom fogs behind lower bumper. Interior LED lighting, Rock Lights, Hella 500s with upraged bulbs behind black billet grill, AAL, Front 5100s
There are a few routes you can take, ebay has a bunch of sets although they don't all snap in to the hole, some are just mounted with a bracket somehow.

I went an alternate route and found oval universal driving lights/fogs that nicely filled the holes in the design of the lower grill. All I needed to mount them was two hose clamps, two L-shaped strong ties, and nuts that fit the prethreaded holes in the bumper a. I really like the results for something that cost me 20$

    Yes, actually I have!

Funny though, the best information I've found has come by looking in threads for trucks OTHER than mine! Who'd'a thunkit?

Was still kinda chafes my nuts a bit is paying 100 bucks for the whole kit when all I want/need is the damned plastic housings...I've get everything else laying around that I could use to complete the kit (except possibly specific colored halogen bulbs, and I can get those anyplace) and install it, except for the molded plastic bits.

    Ah well.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'd still prefer Hendricks and Alba, but as a second place finish this is good...I got lots of good data here today!
