If you're lifted they may shoot it down too. I don't have the TSB number handy.

Is the vibration caused by the OEM bushings failing or just bad fitment in the first place? I've been lucky no vibes 30k on truck, 12k since lift. Considering preventive swap before wear on my axle.

I'll admit it, I'm a noob to Tacoma's (bought my first truck two weeks ago) but I'm very experienced when it comes to working on suspension. Has this question been answered yet? I looked through this thread and couldn't find if this applied to 2wd Tacoma's but I could have missed it somewhere. Thanks in advance!
    I own a 17' sr5 2wd dcsb

2wd trucks have no front differential, therefore, no cv shafts, no needle bearing.

    Welcome to TW!

Are the pros coming with needle bearings too?

Needle bearing with slightly improved tolerances. Still not as good as the ECGS bushing in lifted applications AFAIK.

i was wondering how they weren't having an issue from factory, but after some research I realized they had no lift provided.

Agreed but I want them to acknowledge known issue (TSB) for now then after that one fails I might be able to get them to install the aftermarket one at a discouted price or better yet free like some are getting.

For what its worth, I have already replaced the needle bearing, but I asked my dealer, and they said they would not warranty it because my truck is lifted and that is what caused it to fail.

I when I ordered my ECGS bushing they said that they sell quite a few of these bushings to dealers, doubt any dealer will admit it though.

This is a second gen, but it's had vibrations above 55mph since new. Dealer told me this vibrations are normal.

Will the bearing fix this? Seems like way too much play.

Steering wheel vibes don't change if i go from 2-4wd. And no noises.

Mine was only noticeable under 40mph. Does it stop in 4wd?

It looks like you are moving your cv shaft in and out which doesn't have anything to do with the bearing. Up and down or side to side play is what the bushing will help with. Also everyone I've seen that has the problem is able to make it go away in 4hi.

Yeah it has in and out, but just as much side to side. Switching to 4hi didn't work though.
