We've have just agreed on a value for the truck itself on Monday. I accepted a very small touch less that retail market value for a non-modded Tac. The next step is submitting the pile of bills/receipts for the upgrades, which I expedited to them yesterday. I held onto those during initial negotiations, as I wasn't going to allow them to bundle them together with the base value of the truck.

The games start all over again.

No news on the truck being found? My insurance waited 30 days before technically writing it off as a loss, just in case it was recovered.

How are these trucks stolen so much? I understand that breaking into them is relatively easy as are most cars. Are they easy to "hot wire" or are they being towed away? I often think about a hidden kill switch that would shut off the fuel pump (it is a simple fuse). therefor allowing it to turn over but never fire in the event that someone tried to steal mine. Sorry for your loss.

I guess that I should leave these right here. Sorry guys, but I can't bring myself to buy another Taco at the moment.

2011 RAM Sport, 66,000 Kms (41K miles), Hemi with eco, no rust, U-CONNECT, Blue Tooth, Sat, Nav, heated mirrors & seats, power everything, tow package with built in brake controller, 120K warranty, dual exhaust, fucking plastic hub caps, a shit-load of giddy up... and yada, yada, yada...

It's what I need at the moment.

4Runner is still on the list once the insurance is settled.

No good ones out there, and if there are, they are way overpriced/miled out, don't come with the same creature comforts/warranty/gas milage/etc., too old, back yard body repairs, Ottawa/Gatineau rust buckets, and/or dirty CarProof in the same price point. Trust me, I looked.

I was looking at full size Tundras. I don't know what you mean by first gen, but I suppose you refer to the small chassis ones in 2004 before being rebadged/re-bodied as a Tacoma in 2005.

That's the plan for now. I'll have to order if I want an MGM. No nice used ones out there at a decent price.

BTW, sorry to see the damage to your baby and hear about all the other shite that's going on. I hope things get better for you.

I'm rooting for you, bro.

I was talking about Tundras before 2004, those are excellent as a back up/occasional truck. But then I remembered where you are at, so there isn't much choice... Anyways, congrats on the Dodge and hope you get 4Runner soon!

Too small and sparsely equiped for what I need/want, even though a V8 was available in those years. I like to drive in comfort.

    I'm old... :anonymous:
