Same what I had. I just removed that bolt and boom the coilover pops right in. Then jack the UCA up to reinstall the bolt.

Not 4runner related (sorry not sorry) but Sully is an amazing movie. A little over halfway through, and I highly recommend it.

Got the 4runner back. Turned out, only one of the shocks had a damaged shaft. Saved me 55 bucks.

Rebuilt rears, Icon Overland 3" Springs, Shock Shin Guards. It seriously feels like a new truck and that's just the rear. I can't wait till the front is in good shape because that is where I'll really feel it.

I'm a huge fan of the new springs. If Icon did one thing right, it's those springs. They hold the 250 lbs bumper and the tent and still leave me with .5" rake. Fully loaded I should sit just level.

The one thing they don't make themselves and it's great...brilliant.

I think I'm gonna make my own shock piston on the lathe/mill so that my rear icons aren't digressive

lol didn't even know they don't make them.

These coils are awesome though. Eat up small bumps great, still support tons of weight. I'm pretty stoked.

I can very much tell the difference between the front and rear now.

since its been nice weather i finally was able to take a look at my suspension and see why i've been scrubbing lately. I thought my springs were sagging but per my measurements they're still the same. :anonymous: So my alignment must be a little out. Which is fine because im due for an alignment as well as a balance/rotate anyway. Ill order some TREs inner and outer and replace those while i can. Also need to cut one of my 1/2" spacers in half to place my front bumpstops down a touch. I have a little paint missing in the wheel well.

All in all, not much damage overall and happy i dont need to buy springs.

yeah a local guy did his and he told me to forget about it haha. After buying the clevis from Camburg ($200) and then the rest of the parts it was in the 400-500 range. And everything i've read states that these racks hate heims and blow quickly after.

Interesting. Maybe for fast pace stuff. Since I'm just crawling mine, I think I'm gonna do it anyways. Only if I can get more travel though. Right now the inner tie rod is my limiting factor.

thankfully my only limiting factor is the CVs but without actually going LT i cant do much more. But i know my inner TREs are OEM at 175k miles and flop around worse than a fat man at a pool party.

I think it's because I'm running an Autozone rack with autozone inners which supposedly have less misalignment then OEM

There's an Easter weekend sale at harbor freight and a bunch of coupons on their site FYI. I got a dual action polisher for $50, originally $150.

I was about to say, I would be VERY surprised if you King springs were sagging, I am on my 4th season on mine, and still have very little preload on mine, maybe 2 threads passenger, and 5 driver.
