Idaho BS thread in the PNW

Hey gents my Taco hit 50k miles last month. Where would you recommend taking it for its checkup? It looks great underneath, and no issues but I want to make sure so it lasts as long as possible. I appreciate the help. Let me know when there is a meet and greet it would be good to find some new areas to get out to.

 

I dont know about your area but I usually get good feedback from the place I get my tires. They actually look at stuff not just put on tires and send you off. Last one they notified me of was a sticking front disc pad that was almost worn to the rivets. I ended up doing the brake pad change myself since it really isnt that difficult. But it was nice to know they actually look at stuff when you take it in. There should be a list of stuff you can probably do yourself, ie serpentine belts check fluids etc.

 

LTS Motors off of Five Mile & Franklin. They are a group of Toyota & Lexus technicians who started their own company. They are a great group of guys passionate about the Toyota brand.

 

I would at least do front and rear diff and transfer case oil.

What's the name of the place? I have had that experience at Les Schwab in the past. When I was out of Idaho with the army I desperately missed Schwab. Thanks for the help!

Sounds like a good deal. I know there are a bunch of tacomas that I have seen around the valley too custom for the dealerships to work with I had to believe there was a good mechanic around here to help them out! Thanks for the help.

I will add that to the list. I know my transmission fluid is good but I didn't think about the diff. Thanks for the help.

We are going to have to go down there. We haven't been yet this year. It's definitely one of my favorite spots in the Treasure Valley.

 

Ive used Les Schwab they are decent. The place I go to is a local place where I live...called 95 tire and auto. They are finicky on some things like if you buy parts they wont install them. But they do good work.

 

We've been trying to get down Shoshone too. Let me know how it goes! I've heard it's been pretty busy down there.
I'll pass it by Ryan and see if he's up for a day trip.

 

I had no idea these were there. I've even stayed overnight in TF a couple of times, Always in such a hurry when I go through that area.

Might be back in Boise for a couple days the first weekend in may. Planning on joining a trip to climb/ski mt hood so as long as work doesent fuck me id be there wed night and Thursday before heading off for the weekend

hey y'all hows it going. I'm new to this forum ! I just moved to Meridian, Idaho 2 days ago and only know 1 person here so far, my roommate. I'm originally from California. Anyways I just got a 2000 toy taco xtra cab 4x4 with rr diff lock with 136k miles only for the move here in Idaho.
I'm not new to tacomas, before getting my 2000 taco, i had a 2001 taco pre runner with over 300k miles on it.
I'd love to meet up with some of y'all and go off roading and do some exploring sometime !

 

konsta i met these jeep ass holes tonight in a bar (one local one from colorado) with egos so big it actually made me mad. Every word was about how cool their jk was and how great they are at driving. I mean youre an ass too but like, a playful fun ass, they just stoked their tiny penises all over the place.

then I just though, damn I wish konsta was here to tell this douche with 42s hes not that special. giving me shit for having 35s. looks like you lost the ability to be humble.
