Bfg all-terrain

I'm buying bfg all terrain this weekend and having trouble deciding on the tire size. Don't know whether i should just get stock size which are the 265/65 17 or up a size 265/70 17. The truck won't be lifted anytime soon or not at all. Who's running 70's on thier stock height 4x4/PreRunner truck. How does it ride and any rubbing or other issue at all? White wall out or black wall? Remember truck will remain at stock height for the time being. Lift in the far future.

I got the next size bigger 265/70/17 Duratrac. No lift at all. Stock Height. No rubbing. No issues at all. Rides Great. I went with black out. Im glad I did. I may or may not lift. No plans to do so yet.If I do lift a little, this size tire will still look good. Im happy with the way it makes the truck look more aggressive.They make the truck look so much better. Just do it! The width (265) & the sidewall (70) both make up how big the tire is.......265/70 means the sidewall is 70% of the width which in this case would be 70% of 265mm. That formula determines the outside diameter of the tire. The 17,18,19 is just the hole in the center to fit the rim. Find a tire size calculator online to see what slightly wider sizes will be relative to the oem OD to keep the speedo correct as possible....and rub the least if at all without doing lift.

 

I had BFG AT 265/70/17's on my truck @ stock height, didn't have any rubbing issues

Yea it's basically the same size as a 265/75/16...I ran that size with no lift and had no issues at all...I'm still running 265/75s with a 3" lift...I gotta get new wheels with a different/deeper backspacing to run 285s...I refuse to run spacers

 

i had a set of bfg all terrain on my truck for a little while. They suck. Always threw rocks up and chipping my truck.

 

Yea they clog up pretty easy...

hey question if any one can help, how does the bfg all terrains compare to dura trac all terrains im trying to buy a new set of off roading tires they wont be used on streets at all and was just trying to see how they compare and if how they compare price wise

Go with the 265/70/17 Looks a little bigger and better IMO

 

I think the Duratracs look better and from what i've heard they perform better aswell...
