I swore I saw this question asked and answered before, but I can't find the thread. I just bought a 2017 Offroad and wanted to get a little more tire without lifting. I just came out of a 2015 that I had a 3 inch on, and I actually really like the way my 17 feels stock. So what's the verdict? Any pictures of what's been done?

It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.

Hello most you "safely" can fit is a 265/70/17 or 265/75/16

Try search feature just like this youll see a lot of threads with photos. Your question gets asked a TON so it's a source of frustration for many forum members. Welcome to TW.

    You could also try 265/70R17

Sometimes the search option is tricky. There is also a test area that I found really helpful.
    Good luck and welcome.

A lift really isn't going to help you fit 33's either (285s) you'll still need to trim and likely do a cab mount chop (CMC) if you plan to offroad with 285s. Lift alone does not increase wheel and tire size you can run.

But can you explain why people think it does?

would help with a 255 though.
But yes when you get into a 285 you're dealing with too much width being the issue.

I don't think that's completely accurate. I have 275s with 2.5 inch lift and has never rubbed under any lock or flex.

:facepalm:then you aren't wheeling or you are a very rare exception.

i think its the KO2 and wheel offset can make a difference as well.

But it seems there's a decent amount of people with 275 and 285 that didn't need to do a CMC and weren't rubbing all were on the KO2s
There's a video of someone on here as well from BC that fit ko2s 285 by just trimming plastic.

Smitty is full of good information, but hates conceding he might not be right or informed. That said, he's often right.

    Safe answer is 265/70/17

Too many variables between different lifts alignments wheel offset backspacing etc to give any other "safe" answer
