My dumb neighbor says that people/HOA are complaining about me working on trucks that are not mine. What a load of crap. I hate HOAs.

Im just going to continue until someone tells me. If they fine me also, we can pool together and pay it haha! We will win and they will not.

 

What exactly is the complaint?

 

Someone told me people are talking. But id guess that im working on cars that are not my own? Not sure. No one spoke to me personally

You'll probably be ok as long as the vehicles aren't torn apart for days and your not making a lot of noise and mess ..The ass hat neighbor probably thinks your running a business out of your house ...But check your bylaws ..That's why I moved out a HOA community I don't want anybody dictating what I can and can't do to my house or on my property

 

HOAs serve no purpose at all. Death to them all.

 

I never have a car for more than the day. Never over night.

What can they do? Just fines?

 

Actually you would be surprised that's why I said check your bylaws for any rules about car repairs ..They def can fine but more importantly is what else can they do i.e. liens or worse . Educate,Strategies and Crush your opponent

Sure they do. They exist to take our money.

My HOA can be Gestapo-ish, but hasnt really bothered me much in the 5 years I owned this place. Got hit once for "your shutters are fading". A can of armor all spray and a ladder, they looked good as new.
@greengen1 probably hit the nail on the head. Someone thinks you are running a business and charging for the repairs, or another guess would be people getting pissy that the parking spots are all full.

 

They are visitor spots. Half of the cars there can be parked in the people's 2 car driveway or in the garage
