Close enough Gary, it's the Impala sport coupe. If I would have known what I know today it would be a Astec bronze Biscayne with a fawn interior. I saw one like that in 66 or 67 with the 427 425 H.P. and it was the nicest Biscayne I ever saw, also 500 lbs. lighter than the Impala which should have been good for a couple tenths! :D
I remember my buddy with his 65 FI corvette meeting up with his first 340 Dart, he said that it ran pretty good and almost stayed with him in first gear, after that it became tractor trailers between them! Same with the local guys with the 426 Hemis, they thought they were the kings until they met up with the SHP solid lifter big block Chevys! The badest stockers I ever saw back then were the 426 Max Wedges, not too many on the street because they were almost unstreetable, but they ran better than the stock street Hemis. I believe that one year Plymouth had a 426 Max wedge with 13:1 pistons!
Just thinking, AA fuel back then was 8 second 1/4mi., now it's sub 4's, technology has come a long way in the engine world.
I gave up going to the strip when 2 Volkswagen's beat me , they both had turbocharged Porsche engines in them and they weren't in my class but it's just the idea!

I remember the 426 Max Wedge guys whose engines had so much compression that it sounded as though the starter was dragging when they tried to crank a hot engine. Some of them may have had the timing advanced to much though. Loved the cross ram intake manifolds with a big 4 bbl carb on each side of the engine and either a push button torqueflite auto or a manual shifter about as tall as the dashboard. The 440s were pretty stout too.

    Afternoon all:
:woot: Another successful first day of trout! Jim, Nicole, and myself all got our limit of 5, nothing big but just getting a limit out of the river we fish is always an accomplishment. Next, need to get a turkey, then on to walleyes! :)

Congratulations Carl! I passed a lake on my errand run yesterday; must have been 50 or 60 people there. I wonder how many were as fortunate as you.

Our county has a twice-yearly Hazardous Waste collection day, and it was yesterday. It feels pretty good to get all of the old paint cans, bug bombs, garden pest eliminators, lithium batteries, and the rest of it out of the house, and take it all to a place where they're going to properly handle and dispose of it -- and make a few bucks in the bargain. They actually have people come to your vehicle with shopping carts and load it in. I didn't even unbuckle my seat belt.

    Morning all and HAPPY EASTER!
I wanted to take the camera along to take a few pics., more of the scenic aspect of the river than the fish, I forgot it!
Jim took some pics. of the fish with Nicole's cell phone, his wouldn't work because his dad took the card out and didn't put it back in, we are definitely better at catching the fish!
He will probably give me a print of "the catch" as soon as Nicole gets them developed, hope she don't delete them first!
Just thinking, Jims girlfriend Nicole is a trooper, she has gone with us for quite a few years now and looks forward to going up there. As mentioned before, it's close to a 6 mi. walk just in and out, then going up and down a steep bank to access the river, and her fishing pretty fast water at the top of the holes, heck most guys wont do what she's doing and can't catch the fish that she does.

Happy Easter, everyone! The weather here in northeast PA is gorgeous - 77 deg and partly cloudy. Already had the field mower out and knocked down some brush around the house and around the blueberry bushes at the lake. Then, we got out all the porch and patio furniture. Almost time to put the feet up and enjoy the rest of the day - Lynn's birthday, too.

    Morning all:
Last night Jim dropped off a couple smoked trout that he did up from the first day, pretty darn good! Now I need to get him to smoke some cheese to go with them.
Frig is coming today, need to stick around this morning. I like the way the one I have is set up as for the shelves, only one that I looked at was similar and that was the bottom freezer which I couldn't get in a color I wanted. Oh well, its a refrigerator, and as long as it does it's job I can live with it, at least it's the color I wanted.

Hate that Ken, my oil man is good for that! :(
They called at 7:10 this morning and said between 7:30 and 8:30, much better than sometime in the morning!
