    Hello everyone

I'm looking to put a outside temperature display in my truck. I have a overhead console with 2 sunglass holders. Can someone tell where I can get a different console with the temperature guage and how much? thanks

You could opt for a Gentex rear view mirror. Just make sure you buy the one with all the options you want.

I guess I'm spoiled my last truck had one. I'm constantly looking for it! I'm going to check into the rear view!

+1 on the Gentex mirror. I got one fully loaded from Bob for a great price. Install wasn't that bad and it's been working like a champ for a year now

Okay so gentex (Bob) is saying that I need to remove the side grab post as well as take apart pillar A and it goes on to keep taking the truck apart. Does this sound correct?

Yeah, sounds about right. You run the wires down the pillar by the airbag. It's not as bad as it sounds.

So if I have the plug above the console, I still would need to run wires down the pillar? Thanks

Yes you have to run the temp sensor wires down the pillar

Damn, I would think the Turd Gens came with outside temp. Come on Toyota, really?

At least I have a clock I cant see from the drivers position. Bastages.

My truck is a 2014. I hear that a lot of dealerships have the wires pulled just not hooked up. Because it would cost to much to change production.

You have to pull the sun glasses holder down and check the wires to be sure

You still need to run the wire for the temp sensor

Are you getting one with Homelink also? FYI, I had a couple questions for Bob during my install. He was great about responding. He got back to me within about 15 minutes

As someone who has done both I agree you should do the mirror. The mirror is cheaper and easier to do.
