Most likely a slight improvement in part of the rpm range at the expense of another.

If it moves torque lower into the rpm range that would probably benifit these trucks right? Is this possible?

Like the bugle pipe on a 2 stroke dirtbike or quad.

I'd consider them, but i'll wait for reviews. This truck lacks low end torque and I highly doubt freeing up the exhaust path will help.

ME thinks only work "properly" with ECU tuning.... Last time I did this type of mod on a car it actually improved mpg by a fair amount (with tuning) and also improved emissions even without a cat and of course dyno results but who cares about that?

Interested in any performance "gains" with these. Might be a good add on to the 3.5

Would love to try them out, but removing the front cats when I already have the rear cats removed via the URD Y-pipe, would ensure I would never pass emissions, and thus never be able to register it again either.... :(

P.S. Also saw they are selling the Douglas Thorny down tubes now as well.

That's my hang up too. Got to figure out best exhaust route to go and pass emmisions in TN.

Which Y pipe did you go with?? How much louder is it?? I already have a 3" cat back. Notice any difference in performance?

Well since I don't live in an area that requires emissions testing, I think I'll be getting these if they prove to aid in the 3.5l performance.

Went with the URD Y-pipe. Notice some power gains on the high side of RPM range... Say 4k+. Definitely adds a little tone, especially with my Magnaflow exhaust. Had to add a resonator to quite it down a bit; sounds good now though.

was mentioned in another thread. Someone said its based off some international standard or something and tht 91 rating equates to our 87 octane rating of regular petrol

Pretty sure removing primary cats is illegal in all states.

Nice... yeah I have the Magnaflow and why I asked. I like the Y-pipe for the change in pipe routing... what resonator did you add... details please??
