Mounted my external cb speaker. Should be able to hear it on the highway with the windows down now.

Also wired up my second blue sea. Tried to wire it from the old post that went out to the alternator. Apparently this was not a good idea because it somehow shorted the alt even though that has a direct run to the positive terminal. Had to wire it direct to the positive terminal too.

    IMG_5446.jpg

Can anyone explain why it went weird?

Did some half ass dent remove and paint job to try make it look a little better.

I didn't really put too much effort into.

Still trying to decide what I want to do for sure.

California is beautiful but it's like a china shop you can look but no touching
Wonder how well it fits, I've dealt with some panels that needed serious massaging and trimming to look normal. $40 is cheap enough to find out on a whim though

No, you know the post that used to run to the alt from inside to the oem fuse box? I ran a lead from that post to the secondary fuse panel. My "theory" was that hot would run from the battery, through the oem panel, to the aux panel.

That post is fused. 80amps. And is wired straight to the factory alternator. Not the battery.

Not since I did the big 3 and the gm alt tough. Alt is going straight to the positive terminal. And I have another positive going from the positive terminal to the fuse panel in the original location (to keep power going to the oem fuse panel.) so I thought I could take advantage of the 80 amp fuse to my aux panel.

Well then you need to tie the fuse panel to the other side of the 80 amp fuse. Not to that post.

Though it should have worked but it wouldn't have been fused.
