Just got my 3inch toytec lift done on sunday, dove it today to work and back and everything seems to be running straight i can let go of the wheel for about 30 sec or more befor it hits a bump in the road and knocks it a tiny bit off.

Should i still do an alignment??

I don't think so. I did the 3" lift a week or two ago and got wheels and tires the next day. They put it on the machine and everything was in spec. Kinda blew my mind since I thought for sure it would change but she goes straight. Asked the shop who did the lift and they said it will happen sometimes and I got lucky.

    You need to realign it.

If you drive until you notice tire wear, it is too late and you wasted a set of tires.

yes, mine drove fine without the alignment too. However when we put it up on the rack, it was off...far enough it would have worn the tires had I driven it a 100 miles or so.

So I go to my local tire store (tire choice), And i called on te phone the day before and they where like ya will do your truck for 79.99 1 year unlimited times. I go to that tire choice and they where like oh u got a lift kit installed so where gonna charge u $120 for that offer. So I was like forget it.

I leave And call another tire choice that is about 6 miles away and they where like ya will do ur truck for $79.99. So I also ask does it matter if there's aftermarket parts on it. And they said no! So I head over there and I sign the papers for $79.99, they take my truck in and they come back to me and say oh u got a lift kit, so where gonna charge u $179!!! I was like WTF!!!! Are u serious!! They where like well maybe I can help u out and charge you extra $20. I was like ok, if u can do it for extra 20 then I stay but if it's gonna cost more then $179 then I'm out!!

This is crazy!!! Right now I'm sitting at the shop typin this on my iPhone ...so I guess will see how good they do. Should I ask for a print out of the alinment since they do everything my computer.

Paid $150.00 for a lifetime of the truck alignment at any Firestone Auto Care Center. My store was actually pretty cool, they threw in free tire rotation (not that big of a deal), but thats an additional $40 along with it!

I've had good luck with Toyota of Boerne. I have used them a few times since it changed over from Northpark, and have always had good luck. I also bought my truck from them back when it was Northpark.
