    Hi guys,

What are the opinions of Lucas fuel treatment products? Should these products be used? If so, how often, if not, why not?

    btw, 2017 TRDOR. Thanks.

Use it about every 2-3 tanks.

A friend in the industry and gets me a box for pennies. I'd buy even if I was paying full price. Autozone runs a special for buy one get one often.

At the very least, its an effective injector cleaner.

Supertech (wallyworld) tcw3 or Pennzoil Tcw3. outboard motor oil. 1oz for 5 gallons. About 1/2 price of lucas. Use it to add lubricity to the gas for ehtanol.

I got nothing on performance or MPG. Engine just runs smooth. Began using it on every fill up on our 2013 audi about 3(?) years now and on the tacoma for the lat 7000 miles. No codes yet.

Pages on pages at Bob's the oil guy.

If it hasn't thrown codes in our Audi, the tacoma should be ok. Can't speak about detergency since its so diluted. but before that, the VAG DI would eat up about a quart of oil per oil change, which is about normal in these. But I haven't had to add oil between changes since using TCW3.

only thing different I do, is to go up an octane on fill up since TCW3 is not really combustible. so, Audi I go 93 instead of 91, taco I go 89 instead of 89.

We may go weeks without driving our vehicles so I like the extra bit of lubricant because of ethanol additive. Vehicles start right up and purr at Idle, even after sitting for 2-3 weeks. Even the Audi with 45k now at 5 years old idles like new.

    Lucas is the best.
Walmart sells it super cheap for a larger bottle.
Throw it in every 3 months.

I throw in back to back bottles every oil change - 10K miles. I let the 1st tankful get to just below quarter tank; throw in 2nd bottle and run 2nd tankful till low gas light comes on. I alternate between Lucas and Techron.

I have been using Chevron Techron for fifteen years in my Toyota trucks, 2002 Tundra V8, 2013 Tacoma V6, 2017 Tacoma V6. Have not had any issues with the fuel injection in 175,000 miles of driving.
I run a bottle every 5,000 miles or so. I would think Lucas is good also.

I buy the big bottle for $10 and get 7 5 ounce treatments out of it. Makes it like $1.50 a treatment. I use it randomly, not every tank not every oil change even, just once in awhile. I'm sure buying a gallon would make it even cheaper.

I add fuel/gas treatments at each oil change. Tried all brands including Lucas. Keeps fuel system & injectors clean - no problems to date.

I've never used any additive in my '04, and always run the cheapest gas I can find. 115k miles.

Runs like it did new, still gets the same MPG as it did after break-in. Not guessing here, I have recorded every drop in a spread sheet for 13 years.

Like everyone who says I run product 'abc', no issues, I run 'nothing' and no issues.

So how do you know you'd have issues if you didn't run product? o_O

    Marketing is an amazing thing...........

For those of you that do run additives, do you notice any improvements in drive, running quality/sound?

I got a good deal on a bunch of startron. I use it in my Husqvarna 350 and my truck. I honestly never really pay much attention to before and after on both. My dirtbike hasn't tarnished and plugged the fuel injector even after sitting for a few months so that's good I think! This post is no help lol

It definitely keeps my vehicles & motorcycle running smooth. I do run gas with 10% ethanol. All vehicles but one sit more than they are driven, so after sitting 2 weeks or so they will start to idle a little bit rougher. But since I started to use the additives no issues. This was not an issue before they switched to ethanol in our area. All my small engine stuff gets a dose of SeaFoam ever so often and fuel tank treated during the winter - great stuff.

I run lucas injector cleaner every oil change. Done religiously in my last 4 vehicles. They never had any issues whatsoever. In the higher mileage vehicles, obvious difference in the motor after oil change and fuel treatment #2
