Widebody work is so flawless it looks like it rolled off the factory. I'd guess they probably dropped 50k or more on top of buying a brand new S63 to get it where it's at. They appear to only do high end cars.

In other news, I need more money.

 

Got my truck out of storage Saturday! Battery was flat, but a booster pack, heavy choke, & some fuel sprayed in the carb and she fired right up!


Spent the afternoon on a wash, wax, & detail. Then we went for an ice cream cruise.




I always forget how many people wave or give you the thumbs up when you're driving this thing. And how much I love the noise it makes when you drop it into 3rd and floor it on a straightaway.

The local news said first 1964 Mustang was sold 53 year ago today.

This lady (above) claims to own 1st Mustang ever sold (of converts or H/T ?) ... purchased (early - before official release) on April 15, 1964.

Not trying to bust your balls, but there are no 64 Mustangs. No Mustang has a VIN that indicates 64, and none were registered as 64s.

All first year Mustangs were 1965s. Later it was clear that early 65s were different as changes were made mid year, and as time passed those early cars were called 1964-1/2, but they were legally 1965s.

This tends to cause a lot of argument, even though it is really undisputable.

Ford could have called it a 1964 like Plymouth decided to call their slightly earlier release of the Barracuda but they decided to call them 1965s

We're amazed at the misconceptions ahoof about those early classic Mustangs; those classified ads worded "For Sale--1964 Mustang. . ." or enthusiasts boasting about their super-rare '64-1/2. Truth is, there has never been a '64 Mustang, ever. And honestly, whom are you kidding? The '64-1/2 Mustang isn't any more rare than one of its '65 counterparts. In fact, there are no '64-1/2 Mustangs at all; that title was coined by enthusiasts. The '64-1/2 Mustang is simply an early-production unit without the refinements that came later. And another thing, Ford never built a production '64-1/2 Mustang fastback.
