I had been eyeing those new Bilstein 6112 (I think) things too when I was on the hunt for something different for the front end. Looks kind of like a coilover, but adjusts with a snap ring instead of a threaded body. I was honestly pretty set on some long OME springs on my 5100's. That was seriously the route I was going to go.

Glad they went to a good home where theyll get some use for what they are intended to do. If I had kept them they wouldve been nice on my round trip to work and never even see offroad.
I stopped by dumfries on my way home and google took me the back roads since 95 was a parking lot. Next thing I knew I was cruising through Clifton and the multi million dollar mansions. Beautiful drive up through there.

Oh they're definitely going to get some exercise. I'm super excited. And yeah, Clifton is gorgeous. My grandfather lived in Fairfax Station up off 123, so I've spent a little bit of time up there. Thanks again man. I really appreciate it.

I always go slow through the woods. gives you lots of time to see wildlife, or whatever else may appear. Even when the Tundra had Donahoes, I would cruise the first roads slow.

Exactly. I like the scenery. Don't get me wrong, I like to play sometimes, but 99% of the time it's just a cruise.

Also... Here's what I'm sure everyone has been waiting for...

Good morning Mike @90yota ! I hope everyone has a great Monday! Remember Salty's Toyota event on the 29th? I believe it is. As the OP said we should try to attend and make it a meet up as well. It may be a good way to either recruit new members or network a little finding others who enjoy their trucks. Let's give him some support!

No he hosts an all Toyota event each year at a park in fredericksburg. I believe it's kind of a show but it should be cool and I believe he has a good attendance of non TW overlanding tacomas there. @Salty_Dog hopefully will post info here again. Hopefully I may be able to go but considering what's going on rt now I doubt it

I was stationed in Colorado for 2 years and didn't hunt. I regret it to this day. If you have no desire to rifle hunt learn to shoot a bow. You'll have access to antelope, muledeer, elk, and especially color phased black bears. You can find black beats out there in black, chocolate, blonde, and cinnamon. Grizzlies may even be available in some parts. I'm sure there's probably some great bird hunting out there as well

I did run a sway bar until I was getting close to installing my LT kit. If I still had them I would of ditched the sway bar, I say take it off and see if you like how it drives. It took me a little to get used to, but I enjoy how it drives more with it off.

I need to see what I got going on that weekend. If I am around, it would be a pleasure to hang with my southern brothers!

    Thanks for the plug.

It's not really a "Show" in the sense that there is no entry fee, no judging and no trophies.

It's really just a big Meet & Greet but there will be reps from Sheehy Toyota there.
