Done with the mock up! Gotta do the other side, weld it together, paint then weld to the truck! The bumper side is going to be welded to a plate then bolted on so I can still drop the bumper. What do y'all think? Gonna be about a $60 ($20 in paint) project.

We were also gonna start my skids today, got the cardboard, but a buddy said if we hold off we can get the metal at cost (which is about 25% of what'd we pay from a metal yard)

Thanks man! Long term, this with a few tweaks, but otherwise it's perfect in the front. Will keep my old bumpers, still debating on headlight hoops or not, as well as whether to keep my factory bed. Gonna make it up in CAD soon
    IMG_3139.jpg

This truck is basically the build I'm modeling mine after, but will be doing either FJ80 axles or one tons with 12" coilovers up front and 16-18" coilovers or air shocks through the bed wth a triangulated 4link in the rear. Time to step up my Taco game. The only concern is I want to do a Prinsu roof rack on the top with solar panels and a low pro single row 40", still trying to figure it out.

Damn that's sexy! The long term is to convince the wife we need to do that... Headlight hoops look good on that one.

Single and in college, just need the $$$ haha. And yeah, I like the hoops, I just wish they pointed up more, I don't like the perfectly vertical bar on the end

We went to sulphur springs camp and had a great time. We drove the primitive road to nearly its end which scared the life out of my GF... she wasn't expecting it to be so "primitive" lol. The RTT (even with a missing u bar), awning, and other new gear worked so well! Check out some pics:

Right on @ChadsPride, this is not a problem! I think it would be awesome to have others join in for some camping fun, just know that Sulphur Springs Camp will have you "off roading" to get to the good camp sites :)

Think a 2wd truck could make it back there?

I dont mind a couple bumps here and there

Just as long as I dont have to smash up the truck lol
