    Morning all
No there are a couple of canyons in DV that we want to go up and you need ropes to get through some tough spots. Witney is all trail.

Just go with it, you want to give the shoulder as much of a chance to recover, and swelling is bad for surgery.

Thanks Mike and Ken for sharing your experiences. Had my knee scoped in 2010, lasted 5 years till problems started again. Osteoarthritis, spurs and cartilage deterioration and all that happy stuff going on. Lubricating shots getting me by for now. Tomorrow can't come soon enough.

I went thru (6) series of those synvisc injections in my r/shldr over a 3 year period . those injections hurt like crap and I didn't see any improvement

I also had a series of synvisc injections in both knees

Oh yeah they do hurt! Doctor has me sit on exam table with legs hanging over the side. First shot is a numbing shot, then the monovisc. He inserts the needle as far in as it will go underneath my knee cap. Not much fun but works for me.

I had a knee replacement on my r/knee back in Nov 2014 at the VA and since then have had (3) revisions and just last year found out that the lower implant has become significantly loose . Now waiting on the VA to figure out the next step

We are all waiting to see the next step. They seem to be afraid to go back in with all the scar tissue.

    Cool top collection.
I used to collect CARtoons and Mad along with comics.
Then they all started to suck.

Hope everyone is having a good Monday. Love this civilian thing called weekends but after awhile of them wish it was 5 days off and 2 of work a week. Started on call today for the next 7 days.

22 years is pretty insane for a bulb on a boat trailer. I went to waterproof LED trailer lights a few years ago on the advise of a friend and now he is my hero. Absolutely no problems of any kind and I am a LED trailer light convert now. Think the whole kit cost me about $40 at tractor supply on sale including new wires.

This times a thousand! Shots, and there a lot of types, are worth at least a try first. And other options. Replacement joints only last so long and they can be replaced only so many times. Which is why they want you to be old enough to not worry about hitting the end of replacement and being stuck with what you have and it is wore out too. But every year they are getting better and lasting longer and longer.

In our hunting group in SD the Admiral and I are the youngest and in our late 50's we are the only ones that have not had a joint replacement yet. We are all retired AF or Navy and the other 6 all have replacement joints, at least one, and the standing joke is that between them they can barely put together one human with all original joints. The discussion about the VA came up once again last year and not a single one of them use the VA, they are the absolute last option for medical even for service connected issues which we all have. If there are any other medical options we all use it instead of the VA. The only exception to that is hearing aids which I don't need. At least yet and no I am not in denial about it. Excuse me what did you say???

I use to be pretty good at tops.

Well that was a wasted trip to the VA this morning !!!:pout:

One of the PT's knows me very well as I was in PT for over 1.5 yrs after my knee replacement and who checked me out this morning . He noticed very strange sounds in my knee thru its rotation and flexion and that the knee felt extremely loose . He said this is more a pain management /ortho problem as my muscles in my leg feel very strong and not atrophied

He also said I'm definitely in pain as he's noticing "I'm guarding " or protecting my knee to keep the pain down while walking

So now I wait another month until my scheduled ortho appt on May 16th

I had a hip replaced a few years ago. Asked the surgeon when I'd be back to have it replaced. "Never" he said, and he's not one for fancy words -- just straight talk. I hope he's right, and yes I agree they're getting better. Hips and knees have come a long long way in just a few years, and now they're doing full shoulder replacements too. The advances in medical technology right now are amazing. Which makes it more important than ever to do your own homework before going under the knife! Make sure you know what the latest advances are. You want to be confident that your people are doing the most appropriate thing for your situation.
