Just putting it out there, as far as I know, I am the first to do this install and it looks factory. Its the TRD airbox for 05-2011 Tacoma. It has been engineered to fit the 13 Tacoma and look absulutly factory. Check the pics. First retro of its kind.

the new 2013 smog pumps have 4 wires while the 2011 have 2 wires so the extensions have to be modded...learned that the hard way

Still putting the design pics together. But I will tell you it is flawless and looks perfect. I designed the mounting bracket behind the airbox as you can see for the airpump. I did not extend any wiring at all. My bracket bolts to the 3 studs where a SR5 Tacoma has the abs pump. I purchased a 3/4 heater hose from Napa that is the exact bend from pump to switching valve.

Would love to see pics of the bracket and what material you used. I recently installed the K&N CAI and I hate the location that the smog pump is moved to with the supplied brackets. I have been racking my brain in coming up with a way to install it back where you relocated yours. Also, what size nuts thread to those SR5 studs? Thanks

it induces MAF errors and lean conditions because the manufacturer (K&N) used an FJ/4Runner oem intake to base the product off of and it throws off the maf sensor because the sensor is calibrated to use a certain diameter intake tube which is a different size on the tacoma

Try the older TRD intake mad by AFE, or the AFE stage 2 Si..... not carb legal, but it also wont throw lean codes.

remember, TRD awards contracts to real manufacturers to make products and stamp the TRD logo on them......... AFE didnt get this contract cuz K&N beat them to the punch........ too bad for us that AFE was doing their homework and trying to make a proper product instead of rushing and spitting out a defective product to win a contract

Interesting.. Also learned that it's the smog pump that is the piece we didn't know.
