It was a much more PITA than I hoped it would be. Not sure how the rock auto stuff comes but I needed to make all the new bolt holes for the seats/belts/center console. Also needed to replace the jute padding with something that wont hold water. Was not fun. But I'm happy with how it came out so there's that.

I don't plan on installing padding. Some sort of sound deadener will probably be installed

I used something similar to a yoga mat as my padding. You can use mass loaded vinyl too, but that's pricier. And even then I had to do some work to not have it look like my center console was essentially "floating" over the floor. But I'm a very detail oriented guy, that might not matter as much to others.

MLV would be great as it's a sound insulator also iirc

Confused as you say floating... did the vinyl not form fit to it without padding?

Basically yes. Even my factory installed venal floor has padding under it. Very thick fluffy stuff. Great for holding water. Found it the hard way yay rubber floor fuckit in jumping in with snowy muddy shoes. No carpet to get stained but the snow melted then ran to the edge and went under neath. Never subbed but I still had to strip the interiors and rip out moldy fluff

My center consoles are bolted in at a height that leaves space for jute padding and carpeting. When you remove that padding, the stuff still is setup to be the original height, hence the floating issue.

Pics of your interior? What vinyl floorig did you go with? Toyota? Did it come precut formour cabs?

Gotcha! If it came to it id put some padding under the console. Its raised... im more so doing this for tube door use... won't have to worry about rain getting on the carpet...

Hey all, new taco owner here. Looking to give my car a 3 inch lift. Did a bit of research here and it looks like i'm gonna run some billy 5100s @2.5 w/ AAL. I probably should invest in some LCA? would I have to touch anything with the brake lines in the rear as well. I have a budget for under $1.5k so if anyone has any other suggestions that would be awesome.

With that said? Does anyone know a solid offroad shop in NJ that works with yotas? Sorry for the noob questions Thanks again!
