It's been dead in here... Hoping to still head out to Big Bear this Saturday. Might have to work so it may change to Sunday for me.

Anybody ever wheeled up at Shaver Lake? There are some sick trails up there. Was checking out Mirror Lake trail and Strawberry Lake trail yesterday. Need to get out there asap!

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
I've been a ghost lately man. Real shame situations change like that y'know? :(

I went up to the Shaver Lake area last summer. Did Bald Mountain, it was easy but a very cool place to go see. Totally worth it! There are alternate routes that are more challenging if that is what you are looking for.

I tried to get out to strawberry lake, I was alone, it got kinda gnarly and didn't want to chance anything. On 35's you should have no problem. It was very unlikely I was getting through there at that time without lockers and bigger tires.

Check out brewer lake as well.

I would be interested in another trip up there this summer, now that I have more mods on the truck. Very cool area.

The trail ratings in that area are misleading and more difficult than they describe.

I'd still be up to go, but all these other posts saying how gnarly it is makes me think twice haha

ditto lol. I'm down for Big Bear this weekend but I'd be setting Gold Mountain as my limit. From what I've seen/heard about Holcomb Creek I'd need more armor for that one. Anyway you guys do your thing and if it sounds doable for me I'll tag along :playball:

Hopefully my work schedule doesnt screw this up. If I end up working Saturday would you guys be able to wait till Sunday? I will know my schedule on Wednesday.

Shaver Lake area is sick! So many trails. Im trying to get up there to explore maybe first or second week of May for a Saturday to Sunday trip. I'll keep you guys posted. 33" tires and rock sliders will probably be needed.

33" tires, sliders, and full skids recommended for sure.

There may still be snow up there in early may. Should make for some good wheeling if the trails are open.

Good catch. Haven't checked the snow situation yet. Not familiar with how the weather is up there so I got some research to do still.

I'm supposed to go shooting Saturday but I may be open if it's moved to Sunday. Don't know how I'll do with 275s and no sliders though. Come on Pelfreybilt, where my sliders at! Lol

Exactly. After further looking at the photos I don't even need a spindle replacement. I just need a spacer at this point to limp him to the fwy. He's lives in San Luis Obispo

Word. Seems he wants to be towed out. Evidently he has limped to pavement and wants to ensure he can get an insurance or warranty claim in. I guess he doesn't have AAA. 3rd gen Tacoma. He's on his own since I have no trailer and he has cell reception now.
