Thoughts? (Not my Taco) in the above picture.

My Trail FX bars rusted out in just one year. I guess you get what you pay for. As I removed the old steps, I could hear the water sloshing all around inside. Somehow the "sealed" steps ended up sealing the water inside. As I pick up my niece from school every day and I can see her struggle to enter.

I'll have to be MUCH more proactive in preventing rust from building up again... perhaps a coating of bedliner would do.

Here's a pic of my truck before I took the steps off... lol

I have, and checked TW for reviews first. The only one that got to me, was a post that clarified that the amount of space to step on was very small. I do see what you are saying about price, and I agree.

Thanks for the pic. It was hard to get more than a handful of the same pictures over and over on Google. I'll just have to watch how I park or pull up to ATMs with the way those steps stick out.

I still plan on covering it with Line X. Hopefully post a picture of her here, when it's all done.

Did you ever get these? I found some locally for $150 and I'm wondering how they hold up.

I ended up not buying any steps at all. If you do end up getting them, please leave a review here.

Bought them this evening. Ended up giving $140. First impression...for a side step:running board, I really like them. The fella I got them from said he had them for a few years and loved them. Only got rid of them because he got a 3rd gen and apparently they don't fit. A couple very small rust spots on the bottom, but nothing to worry with. He had two sets for sale. One used, one still in the box. I figure If he had them for as long as he said and only a few spots, they must be decent.
