Sound advice from @eccracer104. They're super new and big bear was your shake down run, correct? They sure as heck shouldn't have started leaking just on those beginners trails we did. King may refer you to the distributor you bought them from which may be a pain, but worth it. You should have zero leaks in your CO/resi. The main purpose of the resi is to expel air from your shock oil. A leak is just gonna make everything work harder and roast your shock over time. Get that fixed as soon as you can.

Airing it out from the weekend right meow actually. Its a Suisse Sport 15* bag. Thats all the info I have since I ripped off all the tags. I slept in it in my hiking 1 person tent with howling winds in JT and cold desert temps at night and was hot. Sweaty hot. Had to crack my tent vent. It weighs 2 lbs so perfect for backpacking. When I sleep with it in my cab I unzip it and use it as a blanket so I can toss and turn. When I do that I turn my truck on as needed because I like to be truck heater spoiled. Lol

Thanks. I'm gonna go get myself a growler of beer filled up and stop by Big 5 and check out their selection. I'm currently thinking about going with a North Face Cat's Meow 20* bag in the long size. Not sure if the Big5 will have a huge selection of the long bags, and I definitely need one of them.

I just got home from King. They moves 3 blocks from my house so i stopped by on my way home. They said no problem to give them a weeks heads up and it should only take a few hours to replace the part and reseal them. So im thinking in a few weeks when im off work take it in and have the springs swapped out to 700 while i have it off .. they will swap free of charge and yes that was the maiden trip for them .. just like the titanic they sprung a leak

True true. Mine would be way too short for a tall drink of water like yourself.

I just placed and order on REI for the Cat's Meow. If I don't like it I can always return it. Still gonna take a pitstop in to the Big 5 just to see what I can find.

Ok good to know. All seems fine. I hear a clunking noise sometimes turning into drive ways and such but that might just be the shock. There is a decent amount of grease oosing out of the LBJ though but no play.

Big 5 is great for little doodads. Hands down REI has the best return policy ever. Good call, chief.

I have a Marmont Trestles 15 I like a lot. Not too bad on the wallet and fairly warm.

You will definitely need a long. Don't skimp on this. I have a North face, a Marmot, and a Western Mountaineering. Have had the North Face for over 25 years and it is awesome. I hear North face quality isnt what it used to be though. These guys seem to have the best reviews.

Be sure to get a water-resistant stuff sack to go along with it. You will thank me later.

Ya, I went wit hthe North Face Cat's Meow. Not terribly expensive but still a good chunk of change.

Went with the North Face, I've always heard good things about them.

    Yes

When I start backpacking I'll get one. For now the included is good. Spent enough on the bag haha.

A little advice on mummy vs rectangular. Mummy is great for backpacking as it compresses smaller and is lighter. Rectangular is better for car camping. A lot easier to get into and out of a rectangular when you are in the bed of your truck with the tailgate up and bestop. I brought my North Face (mummy) this weekend and was reminded of that fact. Food for thought

I can't afford two different bags, so the mummy will be fine me thinks. I've got a 30* bag that'll do me fine for the upcoming weather, but needed something for bishop and next years cold weather.

Another tidbit of advice. Never store your bag stuffed long term. Always hang it. Especially a new bag. That is how I have kept mine "fluffy and fresh" for 25.
