Who makes a 1" AAL? I am sticking with 31's for awhile so only want a 2" lift in front and 1 in front?

Which method are you using to get the 2" in front? Also interested in 1" AAL

So I installed the Boss 2.0 late last week. I went with the 1.5" block in the back and stock UCAs, for now. The tires are 285/65-18 Ridge Grapplers.

Maybe I'm the only one, but it rides TERRIBLE. It went from riding great to riding worse than my 3500 Ram. Ive got the tires set at 35lbs. Am I missing something? Either I'm going to figure out what's wrong or its all being taken back off. I was embarrassed to take my buddy for a ride in it.

Got any pics of the front coilovers up close? Sounds like they might be cranked to high but I cannot say for sure just from this picture.

Thanks for posting. I know it's after hours at Toytec Lifts right now but I have dropped a note to the team and they will take a look at this thread in the morning.

If you can get a shot of the truck on the ground with the suspension under weight from the front that would also help. Just turn the wheel partially to one side so they can see all of the suspension.

I can do that tomorrow morning. It's crazy how stiff this suspension is. Even the rear is stiffer. Before I could rock the truck side to side and the suspension would give as it rocked. Now just the tires give. After driving 103 miles straight, today, I was beyond irritated.

I was very interested in Toytec at first, eagerly got a hold of my buddy who has the same 2.0 lift in the front and 2" block I believe in the rear.. it maybe be up too high(but why design or advertise it if it sucks) but I spent 5 min in that truck on pavement alone and thought there's no way I'd pay for that ride. He didn't seem to mind it, maybe it's a preference? Not for me either. Not trying to bash Toytec, just not for me.

The new coilovers will have a break in period but beyond that knowledge I will let Toytec reply.

So from what I can see you might be near the max height adjustment. I note that by the fact that you have CV boot fins touching. I know when I had my BOSS 2.0's they were stiffer when I had them at the max adjustment then when I had them about half way up. But the ride wasn't bad. Possibly because the springs were "broken in" when I went higher.

I am sure Toytec will chime in once they open up this morning.

An example of how rough it is. It beats the coffee out of the cup lol!. That wasn't a problem before.

yup = probably cranked up too much. I went up to 1.25" of thread showing on my boss 2.5 and I could feed the ride getting rougher..so I stopped.

    Hey there,
Sorry you are not satisfied with the ride, we can go through a few different things to try and figure out what is actually happening. Ride quality is a subjective thing and everyone does react to it differently. The stock suspension will give a bit more as well as have more body roll and nose dive when braking. With the Boss suspension you will notice that the ride is slightly stiffer although from what you are saying its more than that.
If you could, while the truck is on the ground take some measurements from the center of hub to the fender? Both on the front and rear will help out. It is possible that it is cranked up to high. The ride will take about a month to break in the coils and shocks.
Please get back to me when you get a chance.
    Thanks

She measures 23.5 in the front and 24.5 in the rear. The rear has some give to it. I can get more movement out of the coils on my 3500 than I can this Tacoma, at the moment.

Its not a hug difference but try and bring it down about a 1/2 inch and see how that is. Less preload on the coils will give you a better ride quality.

I installed the Boss 2.0 with 2" blocks in the rear on my son's TRd 4x4 OR DCSB and the ride is sweet, so sweet that I will use the same one too. Just as good a ride as stock which I don't want to lose with that added 2". Something must be wrong with RIDDLE1 set up. You should be riding in comfort $.02

From my experience, the ride was a bit firmer than stock, but not bad imo. I'm also coming from a lowered GTI so stiff suspension is nothing new to me.

Its about an inch and a half of thread showing which is usually about 2-2.5" of lift. Although every truck does sit different.
