I know this is a canned answer, but It depends on the Techstream version. I know in my earlier version (10.....29)it was easy to find. It was in the health check section. The Rev1 calibration numbers end in 300.

Thanks OP for your efforts and diligence its people like you that care that will help the new gen and have Toyota fix and/or recall any issues while we're still under warranty. By my photo looks like I have Rev 1 which did improve shifting a lot. And as you will notice it was low on tranny fluid as I predicted, I had similar issues with my 06 due to low ATF due to a rear seal leak. Crossing my fingers here as I have never experienced the park to reverse bump yet but have had 2 single instances where I felt it when having to hit the brakes hard in traffic with drivers in front of me that was more concerned about texting. Lol. TW is a great community and have learned a lot from y'all!

Hey Split . You can bet on it . I havnt had my hands on the AC60 yet but we can pretty much tell that most of the valve body parts are the same . The money it costs to make the tooling for a brand new valve body is outrageous . With this said , its easy for manufacturers like Aisn Seiki to use the valve body from the AB60 and calibrate it for use in our new Tacoma,s with the AC60 series transmission .
To answer your question , Yes , you will see the same problems with the AC60 series transmissions as they get a little more mileage on them .
Sonnax is a great company . They are one of the companies who find the problems and come out with the fixes .
Try some Sonnax valve body end plugs to fix up that shift flair when its cold and the transmission tries to upshift to 4th gear
Automatic transmission service group is another company who also test and fix design flaws

A helpful read that supports gearcruncher's claims about the ab60 valve body leak down.

Good thread, pity about the trolls. I'm still scared to attempt a tech stream install that won't come packaged with a nasty trojan so I'm handicapped logging with the PID values found in torque pro...which isn't really giving me too much useful info at this point.

Best I can do now is try and convince the Toyota reps that I'm really not just a bumbling idiot and I am reasonable and can provide the feedback and scenarios needed to reproduce the symptoms while THEY do the logging.

Thanks Brad for the thread. Hope good things come from it.
I've only used Techstream to disable my seat belt chime. I wish I knew more about what Techstream can do for us. I also wish I knew how to program the AT shifting like in the other thread, hah.

I am on board for this Brad. I have the cable and disc but have not used it yet . I need to do some reading etc. before I hook up to the truck . I am hoping there are redundant warnings in techstream before one can change something they may not want to ,and I am thinking of waiting until my TSB rev.1 and the Entune update before I do anything. This could and should be a great thread for everyone. Ignore the BS.

Yes. I think this will be exciting for us Tacoma owners. So far, I think the Techstream software is very safe and intuitive.

Is it safe to reset the learning of the transmission via techstream? I got the cable off eBay and got it hooked up to the truck. Is it safe to reset the trans learning? I don't want to massively F something up

I am going to say it,s safe to clear the short term memory , but leave the long term memory as it is .
Leaving the long term memory alone will give the technician a source of information just in case a warranty complaint pops up .
Clearing the long term memory also resets the transmission internals ( clutch packs ) to when they are new .
I am certain technicians can tell when the long term memory is cleared . This may void your warranty

Are we able to reprogram the speedometer/odometer calibration for larger tires with this?

Did anyone ever see any correlations between misfires and other parameters in the data logs? I have been logging data (via the iOS Fusion App) for around 3 months and still consistently see random misfires (no particular cylinder(s)) even though as of today (though it tends to change..) I don't "feel" the slight misses. I'm concerned about ongoing damage given I generally see at least 2-3 misfires and this morning I clocked 9 on my way to the office but I can't seem to find a clear correlation. It does it worse on acceleration when cold but still does it intermittently throughout drives as well.

Just in case anyone here is intimate with the data... here is a snapshot of my morning commute today (second tab of the attached sheet has graphs of some data points). As of now my truck "feels" like it's driving pretty well overall (in S-4 city driving), but the data suggest something is very wrong in terms of high volume of misfires. I have always been seeing 3-4 misfires on most trips but this morning it was like 14 misfires. I can't see a clear correlation in the data to indicate what could be causing it though...
