IMG_1169.jpg IMG_1170.jpg IMG_1171.jpg Just had my lift put on today.

Basic OME kit for 2016+ Tacoma (888 front coils, medium load because I planned on putting a bumper on in a few months)
    ECGS Bearing Installed
    275/70r17 BFG KO2's
    Pro Comp 7005 wheels

The mechanic (which has done lots of work for me in the past and I trust his work from awesome builds and fabs he's done on jeeps) said there was a vibration when accelerating from a stop, which their is. He also said during alignment the camber just barely aligned. I'm noticing when I put the truck in reverse and with wheels half way turned it sounds as though the tires are hitting the UCA when backing up. Feels like I'm having to correct the truck drifting almost constantly when rolling down the interstate.
Can feel a vibration in the floor under my foot now. ECGS bearing was installed for possible prevention of vibrations that have been mentioned before. The lift looks like its sitting higher than 2" to me.
I believe this is a bolt on lift with no permanent mods required. In the worst case I hope that I can have them put on the stock lift again and just cut my losses.

Just went to put gas in the truck. Sounds like the front brake disc is grinding against something. Then was driving down the road and heard a loud POP like a rock hitting glass. Steering is now loose. Stopped and checked if any lug nuts were missing or anything leaking. Nothing. Getting this thing towed to them tmrw.

Keep us informed, I'm very interested on what's going on. After my lift and alignment, heard noise every time I pulled in my driveway, looked under truck and one of the cam bolts was loose. I could tell that there hasn't been a wrench on that cam adjuster, and alignment shop said he only adjusted the two front ones to get it aligned. He loosened all 4 cam adjusters ( on the realignment) and everything seems better

After that pop I heard, the stock suspension is going back on. If no permanent mods were done. No compromises. Not putting the longevity of the truck at risk.

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
Something is definitely wrong. I would also make sure on how much lift you got in the front. I've heard anything over 2.5 you could have issues with c.v. joints? If you only have 2" with ECGS bearing, you should not have a vibration from the lift...

It's a shame because it looks good. I know TW folks always crap on cheaper lifts but I wonder if simpler is better in some cases, especially if you don't do any crazy off roading. Might want to take a look at a simpler setup. This is comming from someone who has never lifted his trucks but wants to do so soon so is trying to digest any info at TW. So take my comments with a grain of salt.

Absolutely love the bed cover. It is expensive but I feel it's more secure than keeping valuables in your cab. All someone has to do is break your windows. This is the SE version not the HD. Still robust as hell.

Lol if anyone is in Mississippi and looking at some 275 KO2s they could be coming up for sale quick. Maybe 50 miles on them if that.

Probably would need UCAs with that lift as well. Good luck

I was looking at those Diamondbacks.... very nice. I'd like a version with a one piece opening lid but I haven't been able to find a manufacturer that offers one.

Take of shudder will have something to do with drive shaft/ pinion angles. You may need to do a carrier bearing drop or install axles shims till it's aligned...
make sure the spring buckets and springs are oriented correctly to avoid clearance issues with the Uca. The truck looks pretty high in the front. I'd recommend new uca to get your caster back

it will be something loose, i am guessing ball joint, lower or upper mounts or alignment cams like others have mentioned, i can almost promise you that. As far as the accelerating vibration, you might need a carrier bearing drop @ $20

Carrier bearing drop is $20 or less and can be installed by anyone who knows how to loosen and tighten a bolt in 5 minutes or less

I haven't read through the whole thread, but first thing you need to do is them your drivetrain operating angles. Sounds like that could be the issue.

You can buy an angle finder from harbor freight for like $5. They're easy to use to measure if your angles are in correct operating specs.

Solution is to revert to stock suspension.
