It's freaking awesome. This is the one I got. Paired it with some HF pads as that's all I could get local. They did a fine job, but want some chemical guys pads for the next time. I think it was mostly the compound I was using paired with the fact it was my first time using a polisher.

Fucking comedy of errors today. Woke up and walked to gym where my girlfriend works. We have a system where she drives there at 8 when she starts work and I take the car from her to drive to work and she walks home. Works well for us.

I forgot to put my briefcase in the car last night. Find out once I'm parked at the train station. Start driving back home. Don't have a house key. Go get house key, elevator is out (only way from parking garage to apartments), so I go find another elevator. Grab briefcase and drive back to train. Train is under maintenance and is coming every 20 min instead of 6... shit man when I'm late I go big and just come in an hour late haha

I did buy her a car. That's the car I drive to work a lot because it is a brand new civic. Gets 35mpg plus the turbo is fun. She works a block from home and has my car if she needs it.

4Runner doesn't fit in parking garages

Work in LA. Most structures are 6'4", 4Runner is 6'6"

I drove my Dad's stock Yukon while my truck was in the shop and it scraped in a 6'6" structure where I know my truck barely fits

LA is stupid. How do you not have structures that can fit stock vehicles.

So, since I've been in the military, going on 6 years, there's a lot of opportunity to snag patches (commands and stores on base have patches everywhere) I've been able to snag some when I can for around 5-10 bucks. Today was the first time skimming through the "morale patches" thread and realized there there a shit ton of hype about them and have seen some people selling/trading their patches. I've seen prices as high as 50 bucks for a patch. Can someone inform me about what all the hype is about? Is there such thing has high quality patches or something? What am I missing?...

I get patches of the flags of states that my truck has been driven in. I stick them to my headliner. So far I have CA, NV, and AZ.

I think it's cool. But I've never paid more than 5 bucks for them

Wanted an opinion from you guys. I was looking what to do with my rotopax cans now that I've decided I'd rather have the water can on back for washing dishes and emergency drinking water.

I would still like to carry the small gas can. I always liked having one on my tacoma. Made it easy to help somebody who ran out on the highway or on a trail. Not much, but it isn't to extend my trips really. Just emergency fuel.

Anyway, I think this spot might work! Sorry for the bad pic. I was trying to hold the can and take the shot. Basically found a way I can mount it to the tubes and it would sit right here.

It's on the inside of my tire swing arm for perspective.

Doesn't interfere with the rear hatch there? We can figure something out.

I agree. But to each his own I suppose. Can't imagine paying more than ten bucks for a few stitches..

It sits right under the handle when closed with a solid inch of clearance. Swing arm doesn't flex enough to make it an issue and the hatch doesn't hit it!

Last night I threw a motorcycle tie down over my water can to hold it more securely, went through the handle and ratcheted it down til it couldn't move. Thought I was a genius. Then I went to take it off... The ratcheting mechanism has to open all the way in order for it to release. Since I went through the handle, it couldn't release... Had to cut it off and try again haha. This time I went over the handle and it works fine!

Nah I have shitty ones that won't release unless they open fully. I tried for a solid 15 min to figure it out haha. No big though since they are just cheapo straps.

    Check these out:
    http://www.strapworks.com/category_s/691.htm

Custom cam straps that hold extremely well and are low profile. Easy on the wallet too. They're good to keep around as random tie downs where ratchet straps would be overkill.
