It seems there are alot of complaints going on in alot of these threads. I'dlike to see some posts of how many miles are on your TACOs without any problems. I Love that truck of mine don't get me wrong I'd just like to hear some positive news. My first Toyota was a HILUX with 260,000 when I sold it. My hope is atleast that much with this one.

My '08 is just shy of 30K with all types of miles (towing, offroad, beach, water, highway, city) and I've had several problems- all of which have been or are being resolved with relative ease. Nothing to complain about here.

Mine is just under 37k and the only issue I have is that my stealership will not do the rear spring TSB (yes, I've dealt with corporate and they have been useless thus far). Hitting the bump stops is not a daily problem but when I use my truck as a truck, which is fairly often, I don't want that happening. Other than that, it's been great.

Its only because of toyota's quality history that they get nit-pic'd.
Thats why everyone is only caring that toyota is having a recall at this time,
even though honda, general motors are also having recalls.
And yes we ourselves are critical of toyota's.

So whats one to do ????
Well if you dont like your toyota, sell it, trade it, and get off the site.
Im sure someone will be happy to buy your used toyota.

Something to think about : Why are there hardly ever any toyota's in used car lots ??

Your right man, you really don't see many used Toyota's on lots.

I have an 09 with 24K, no problems but a few sounds here and there but it's a truck. I'm 100% satisfied :plane:

That's just plain bullshit right there. No freaking way a truck that is supposed to be able to haul 800lbs+ in the bed shouldn't be able to handle that. I brought mine in with 400lbs in it, had the dumbass service tech ride in it, and even he felt it hitting the bump stops on mild bumps. You think they still don't argue? Morons.

While I haven't necessarily noticed it in this thread and not even necessarily on this forum, I often see such stupid complaints. I think a large portion of the complaints come from people with too many dollars and too few brain cells. Some of the complaints just make me... :der: The rest seem like they could be easily resolved. I do admit though, some make me a bit hesitant about certain dealers. I guess I drank the cool aid though

25,000 trouble free miles (albeit rough) here; I do all the work myself.

No- Nothing to do with koolaid.

I understand that mechanical items can fail. Toyota has been great to work with and have fixed each problem I've had. And none of the problems have been repeats on my truck- and only the TSB for the rear leaf packs has been mentioned here...

If you are going to whine because shit doesn't work perfectly all the time- You are going to spend a lot of time being upset. Me....I can be understanding and get the truck fixed when things go wrong...and not waste the time to be upset about something that doesn't matter.

PS- Just because someone isn't a douchbag who complains about everything doesn't mean they are a fanboy or "drank the koolaid"

I have 34k on mine andjust had the 30k maintenance done on mine (scheduling conflict) and love my truck, was told by the dealership her in wichita that I need to file a complaint to have the rear tsb adn front brake tsb's done. This is my second taco and despite everything said about them, I'll probably never drive anything else.
