Is there any advantage to using these if I am not running long travel? I just have a mid travel King setup.

The advantage would be not bending your spindles. The majority of the spindles I gusset end up on mid travel trucks. I have been receiving about 6 messages a week from guys who didn't gusset their spindles who now have a bent spindle and are looking for a replacement. Depending on how many cores I have on hand at the time sometimes I can help them, sometimes I can't. If you wheel your truck it is cheap insurance.

I'd go with them if your off-road at all. I've had a spindle tweaked. Wasn't even noticeable by the naked eye but it was impossible to get from suspension to reassemble with buying a new one.

I do all the different style gussets the same. The top gusset is a tundra spindle, followed by a non swaybar tacoma, and a swaybar tacoma

I also only offer the non sway bar gussets with the tie rod gusset(which I've added to every set I've done) and now the new gusset at the bottom where the gusset meets the spindle. I won't do that style without the added gussets. I feel that the non swaybar gusset without atleast the tie rod gusset is a liability and should not be used prior to addressing its issues. Catastrophic spindle failure on the road could cost someone their their life.

This is the newest version of the non-swaybar gusset that I build

    IMG_5811.jpg

I still recommend that everyone goes with the swaybar version of the gussets. Short of if you never plan on running aftermarket wheels I see no reason anyone should run the non-swaybar gussets. Tc's newest gussets are a much stronger design.

Correct. The gusset runs on the front of the spindles. I definetly recommend the sway bar version. I'd do those 10-1 compared to the old non-swaybar version. They are a superior product in my eyes. My personal opinion is that their is no reason to run the old style, unless your build requires you to run an oem wheel

Just wanted to give a shout out to @glorifiedwelder for great service and awesome product! Had issue come up with my first set of gusseted spindles that were sent via USPS, in which they apparently lost. Already had my truck tore apart to upgrade the suspension to Icon coilovers, shocks and Dakar leaf pack and was waiting on this shipment of spindles to get my truck back together. Unfortunately USPS lost this shipment during some point and spindles were not delivered on time. Spoke with Jason about the issue and how I needed another set shipped since my truck is my daily driver and needed to get it put back together. Jason was nice enough to get another set welded up for me and shipped out on a Saturday, when I'm sure he had more important things to do that day. Got the second set of spindles in a couple of days and were welded up nicely and had no issues with getting the gusseted spindles installed.

Thanks again for great service and an awesome product!

Thats good to know that the gussets have to be modified if you run a ball joint UCA. Once I get my lift together I now have a way of getting them!

Very good to know, wasn't aware of the gussets changing the format of the spindles. Are you willing to continue to do this for those of us who need it?
