We will be going regardless and the taco will be getting towed out this year.

 

It's wild 4 years ago rocky and I are the only ones that towed down. Now everyone wants to tow down.

 

It goes in waves. Just like the RTT's. First it was only a few then everyone the next year. Then the following year it was everyone towing with Tundra's. And now it is just towing down in general.

 

Also wouldn't mind a tow up and down *cough** @RPS1030 **cough*

 

I will be back again this year! I hope the camping arrangement gets figured out, will def be making donations again, last year was fantastic.

 

What is the cost for area bfe if someone were to go there on there own? What if everyone just so happens to show up at the same time lol

 

I think (don't quote me on this) they are asking $20 a night.

So $20 per day as a person. $5000 a day for a group. There would have to be 1000 participants to make that number not seem like a rip off. Say there's 100 trucks that show up with two people per truck. What do they think 800 people are gonna walk in off the streets to hangout with us. We might draw a crowd but who do they think we are the damn Beatles

 

This math doesn't quite add up, but I get your point and agree with you.

 

I figure $5000 per day, RT is 4 days. $20000.
That would be $20 a day for 1000 people

But I am from jersey so my math could be garbage hahaha

 

yeah 250 people at 20 a night would make t hat 5G's but still even if we have 250 trucks cuz im not paying 40 to camp at BFE ID rather spend that and get a campground at KOA or some shit.

 

$20 per day for 1000 people for those same 4 days would be $80,000. The break even point is 250 people. The BFE people are betting on a group of less than 250 people so they make extra money for their "trouble". Any group smaller than that might as well just pay per person.

This. Bfe is literally a patch of dirt to park your ass at night. If I'm gonna pay there should atleast be a few amenities

 

The price quoted is for "events". It covers toilets, trash, and liability insurances. Oh and the BOOM Box truck plus I think FB LIVE coverage. We have all of the costs figured out for toilets, trash, and insurances. They still don't equal that daily amount. Not even close. But with the change ownership a new business model was put in place. More focus on profit now then in the past. They own it and some groups will pay to play. So be it. That's capitalism.

If people will pay then they have no issues. But that is not how ROCK THERAPY came to be. Bob, Jace, and I wanted a gathering that was more about getting together and running trails with great sponsors. Not the standard "event" that everyone is used to. The past couple of years have turned a bit more toward the "event" side of things. Might be time for reset........
