I just sold a set of king coilovers last weekend. I never used them, but from what I understand, the kings are the top of the line, with fox and icon running close behind. I wouldn't run more than 3", unless you are looking at a drop bracket lift. I run about 2-2.5" lift and clear 255/80/17s easily.

Many run with this set up. When you say a King "midtravel" what are you looking to add since King sells just the coils by themselves unless you are looking at some sort of package deal. The big thing to concern yourself with is what type of suspension valving would you want? King is progressive (starts out soft and stiffens at high speeds) while Icon is digressive (starts out hard and softens at high speeds). Either of these set ups give you adjustable coils to fit 33 inch tires with about 2.5 inches or so. I personally prefer progressive suspension as Im not always driving fast.

I went with Bilstein 5100s with OME 888 springs... it'll be 3" and clear 33s just fine

but I wold run Kings over Icons if youre looking for a $3,000 lift haha

I meant to ask...goals for the rear? Many run dakars here with extended kings/bilsteins/Icon/Fox.

I was looking at the king coilovers with dakars and extends from king too. The progressive and digressive difference is new info to me so I have to look at what I want to do with my truck exactly. The icon set up that @fatfurious2 is running above was my other choice.
