I have a 2002 2.7l double cab Tacoma, and I want to start building it. New to this, and need some expertise this site seems to have plenty of. Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated!

What do you want to build your truck for?

Going fast (long travel), climbing over anything (SAS), exploring and camping (overland), lifted for looks, on road, off road... need to know what you want to do to provide any suggestions. Also a budget. You can spend $1000 and really change the whole look, but you could also spend $20,000 and REALLY change it.

90% will be on road, just wanting to improve looks or anything really. Don't have a set budget, but nothing crazy.

What about a lift/wheel/tire combo, any suggestions? I realize it's a 2.7l so there are limits, but what would be the best setup?

255/85 r16 will get u the lightest (prolly cheapest) 33's and they will be right on the edge of needing a regear i would guess with the 4 banger any bigger and it will be a must

Oh and bistein 5100's will be a decent cheap lift to start with
