I had the AAL for a non-tsb tacoma on my truck with my toytec ultimate lift kit. Over time I came to realize that if I had anything over 100lbs in the bed the ride was just plain uncomfortable and not too mention with my front co's cranked to the max rec. of 3.25" it was barely even level. I like a little rake.

Anyway I went with the Dakar/Ome leaf pack from toytec. Holy crap. The difference is night and day. I don't think alot of people realize how comfortable the ride is with a real leaf pack compared to an aal.

If you're hitting a bump at anything over 5mph you might think its your front co's but its most likely your rear aal leaf set hitting the bump and rattling the body giving the impression its your lift that's causing the harsh ride. Now my front co's are almost exactly the same comfort level as the rear leaf pack and my whole ride just went up not only in comfort but def more in loading capability.

If I would have known the difference was so great I would have done it in the first place. I didnt pull anything off the packs so it looks great with my front co's. I have pics in my build thread if anyone wants to check it out. Thought I would just give some of the aal owners an idea of the huge difference a leaf pack makes.

I have the toytec 3" spacer lift with AAL in the rear currently (just installed about a week ago).

I just recently found out about this TSB for the rear leafs and wanted to try and get mine replaced and then put the AAL back into the new pack for a little more lift (I'm leveled out now with no load but would like the factory rake back)

That being said, you thing that if i replaced my whole leaf pack with the toytec (emu) leaf pack that i'd sit at least as high as i am now if not higher?

My truck is definately out of the warranty period, so i'd rather spend the $200 than bitch at Toyota long enough to fix the problem outside of the warranty.

I believe those leafs are 2.5" of lift.

You had what i had on my old setup. The non-tsb aal in the back. The dakar leaf pack is a little over .5" higher than that.

If they even EVER do it. I've been bitching at both the dealer and corporate for a couple months and nothing thus far.

^ yea i could have went and done the tsb for the rear leafs but i said screw it. I'll just do it right and be done with it. Sometimes the stress and time wasted isnt even worth the battle.
