    Afternoon everyone !!

Can't believe a simple adjustment made my truck feel like it's making more power !!

Stopped by my local perf transmission shop to ask about doing work on my Camaro . The owner see's my Tacoma and we start talking about it

I mentioned that my truck seems to bog when accelerating so he said pop the hood open .He immediately checks the kickdown cable and notices there's a lot of slack . he gets a couple wrenches and makes a quick adjustment

He told me to take it around the block to test and I was shocked at how much better it runs now . no more bogging and shifting issues . He said this is common on the Tacoma and others that run this auto trans . He said its called lazy downshift and when the kickdown cable gets stretched

The kid I work with is 27, he keeps saying "old man is wise" when I give him a piece of knowledge.

    Ditto on the staying hydrated!

When your pizzing clear, you're pizzing beer... I mean water.

Yup. Kidney stones. BAD! Drink water. Alot of water!

    Or go to the bathroom!

Mine took about a half hour to hit. The pain meds they put in my IV made me vomit. They went in and cut it up with a laser. I still passed 2-4mm chunks! Not bad considering the thing was 1cm in dia. to start:eek:

On my 2002 pre runner with a 3RZ 4cyl there's (2) cables on the throttle body bellcrank . one is the throttle cable and the other is a kickdown

Good evening all! What a beautiful day! All my yard work and other various chores are done except cleaning the cars. I left work today at noon doing the same tomorrow. I'l get them all cleaned up, park Christie's RAv in the garage, put the sunshield in the truck and lock it down, and have the XB ready to go. Then I can relax annd deal with other things

I still say the am radio off the mirror is a lot more reliable.
Better put a zipper on the center dash.
