My old boss had one, very base model, about 25k.

The difference (for him) between that and my 300$ Mossberg was about 1 clay out of 100. And a gun that will last 100k rounds vs one that will be lucky to make 20k.

 

I would put together a 300 Winmag as drt gun, it's more than capable to put down anything in North America.

 

Oh, you want a drilling rifle.

A friend of mine inherited one from his father in law. The gentleman was a man among men and hunted the Dark Continent for the "Big 5" the gun is a 500 Nitro Express. I asked him have you shot it yet? "He said hell no, I got big cajones but they ain't made of stainless steel!" So we shot his 375 H&H instead.

He was telling me of a time he went shootin with "the old man" he was shooting a 475 NE double gun. My buddy dropped the hammer on the first chamber and he said it felt like his spine had been rearranged. Took him a minute to catch his breath. His father in law said "what's the matter yah candyass you still got one more barrel."

I am a firearm owner and I like to shoot however my knowledge is limited to the workings of my G36, snub nose .38 and my S&W MP15.
I've fired a variety of other weapons over the years but don't really know much else.

I've shot the 460 and 500 S&W

I wouldn't shoot that rifle,..

 

Way too much recoil. My shoulder would dislocate.
