BTW I have no hate for Columbus. I'm a TO fan. We made a great deal not too long ago, traded you a pylon for a contract we could ship off to Robidas Island. I'm simply with the majority that once Columbus heads back to Pittsburgh this series is over. No shame in that, Columbus has a lot of injuries and on paper they aren't the Pittsburgh Penguins.

As far as the game last night was concerned I sat with a Ducks fan so things were interesting. Fun to say the least and since the game started, well at least the puck dropped, right when the Leafs beat the Caps in OT I was in a good mood all night. The Leafs are ~20 point underdogs to the Caps and that meme tells all. The Caps have no answers right now for Toronto's speed and lack of intimidation in the face of the odds on favorites for the cup. While Toronto isn't shit kicking them, they simply are playing well enough to keep the Caps from winning games and you can tell the Caps were not mentally prepared to go down 2-1 in the first round. The Caps could and very well should beat the Leafs, but it's not a foregone conclusion that the Caps are in trouble right now whether it's the Leafs that boot them out or the Pens.

 

My Flames tickets last night were $366 CAD a piece. The guys we sat next too paid over $1k on stubhub to sit there. Canadian Playoff ticket prices are crazy.

You're still going to sleep better than Calgary fans did last night. The city was super angry after that game. My buddy in his Ducks jersey took one hell of a ribbing on the way out of the game. While I could easily say Flames fans are classless, there were a few that helped police things to keep drunk idiots from getting crazy and one fan even came up apologized for the behavior of a few individuals.

Truth. I'm quite proud of my less than 2 decades of a franchise though!

I was lower bowl at game 3 with our disappointing loss but like you mentioned we have our deficits. I wanted Werenski with that game winner so bad!

Game 7 though, you saw it here first.

 

The Flames are done. You could see it on Giordano's face last night when he was interviewed. That game was a back breaker.

The way the league handled your expansion franchise and the others of that era was a joke. There is a big reason why LV is being handled differently. No one wants to see a joke for a decade like Columbus again.

 

They'll probably fold tent like Atlanta.

 

Nah. Unlike Atlanta they don't have to compete with a pile of other local major franchises. The Jackets are the only pro team in town. It is a college sports town though which will always limit the amount of support they will get and that makes it hard to spend to the cap when you are ready to make a run.
